Jesus. Good luck mate. My instrument cluster was dropped at birth and getting it replaced under warranty was an absolute, err.. cluster fuck.A few of us were in talks about getting it 3D scanned and possibly raised up a bit. I actually have to pull my wing off and take it to the dealer to have it replaced. I had deep scratches in mine when I received the car on delivery. Of course I've already adjusted it and put it in the "track " position. But once I knew that I'm going to see how hard it is to get it off the car and possibly get them scanned
You mean like one of these?Perhaps if it had 450 HP from the factory.....
Not every owner is a Fast & Furious type of person. ?
Exactly! Thanks for the links. You mean like one of these?

Some repeat links but fun seeing how competitive this car is in its class.
I hope you get yours back soon so you can enjoy it!!!!!!
How many times do you need to be bent over by Toyota before you declare that everybody who thought this was going to become an absolute shitshow was correct and that all of your bullshit about Japanese companies caring and your engineering experience and watching of YouTube videos was all for naught? The expected parts/tools delivery date came and went, so I called Toyota corporate to explain the situation. The spokesperson told me that their parts acquisition team will investigate and get back to me, this week.
There was a big article in the Wall St. Journal, Saturday about Boeing's quality woes. Included in the article was mention that many companies are also experiencing parts shortages. Leading up to these issues was the fact that many of the most-experienced workers who were laid off during the pandemic, never returned. They retired or switched jobs. How many times do you need to be bent over by Toyota before you declare that everybody who thought this was going to become an absolute shitshow was correct and that all of your bullshit about Japanese companies caring and your engineering experience and watching of YouTube videos was all for naught?
OMFG.There was a big article in the Wall St. Journal, Saturday about Boeing's quality woes. Included in the article was mention that many companies are also experiencing parts shortages. My issue is likely to be a parts issue, but it's not just Toyota that is having this type of issue. A friend had to wait three months to get her Honda Oddesy fixed after having fender damage.
If there is a global parts shortage for some Supra components, your suggestion that I simply fix the issue, myself or take my car to a BMW shop would be fruitless.
I hope to find out, soon. In the meantime, the $52,000+ Toyota Crown Hybrid Max I'd been loaned is not exactly a crasher.
The parts you need are in stock at multiple suppliers. It’s like you are tone deaf to logic. There was a big article in the Wall St. Journal, Saturday about Boeing's quality woes. It’s going to be pure comedy if in the end, it’s just the normal breather hole leak. Nothing that has been shown has proven otherwise yet. Hell, the story itself has change multiple times already.Worse than that an engineer
We all predicted the outcome. I just don’t think this is the platform for him. I’m thinking Prius
Nope, the story has remained the same. Have you ever read of a Toyota or Lexus with a leak in a new vehicle that was not reported anywhere in a forum? Does that mean that the leak doesn't exist? It’s going to be pure comedy if in the end, it’s just the normal breather hole leak. Nothing that has been shown has proven otherwise yet. You stated it was at the driveshaft, then you posted the photos that the tech took and the photos point to the tech saying it was at the axle.Nope, the story has remained the same. Does anyone here who has commented have 20 years of experience repairing BMWs and their diffs?
I still think that’s the best/quickest solution. My son had a fender bender. Parts was “unavailable” due to national shortages. It was going to take a LONG time to fix. I got online, ordered the part, body shop completed the install.your suggestion that I simply fix the issue, myself or take my car to a BMW shop would be fruitless.
