So I run into the same thing here in the South all the time but let me tell my truck vs car story.
I’m in my 2010 Nissan GTR, 990whp on wastegate, 1350whp on map 3. Parachute on the back. I’m cruising along on a sunny Saturday and a blue F150 pulls up, downshifts and it actually sounds pretty good. I’m on wastegate and hear him floor it, so I downshift and we stay pretty even for a gear or two and both let off. I immediately switch to map 3, pull up and tell him to go. He hits it, I hit it, and a rocket past him. We pull over, he’s super cool, the truck is a twin turbo 1100whp Midnight performance build. Look them up on YouTube, they build some really fast F150’s, Said it’s never been beat (until that day lol). Had I been in my 800whp ZR1, I would have lost to an F150 and probably would not be sharing the story lol

But back in 2019 while renting a McLaren 570S Spider, there was no such restriction. (Top speed is 204 MPH) So when a Tesla Model X driver thought he'd show me the power of the EV, he quickly discovered that his massive bug was just not fast enough. I did have lots of fun with that car.
For example, I pull up to side by side with a Mustang or Camaro and look over at the driver, just to see what he'd do.

I mean, they are limited to a like 100MPH top speed right? #JustTruckThings So we are all bound to win in a long enough race. But 700HP and AWD is no joke from a stand still, even lugging around 3 tons. Plus, I doubt any of these remain stock for more than a month.

So for the price of the supra, what out there is faster in the 1/4 mile? Not saying whether the supra is fast or slow. Genuinely curious or what so you expect at the price point.

For 60k definitely hard to beat Supra's stock slips. Maybe comparable to a rs3 and 10speed Stang or maro? After 60k mark, another 20k would be entering g80 territory. In-between that would be the ttrs, but those are north of 70k+ new anyway.

Edit: rs3 is about almost the same price as the Supra.

As for TRX, might as well get the trackhawk or Durango.
