Anyone see any orange 45th anniversary Supras on the road?

Due to a fuck up in shipping, only three of my four new Advan GT Premium wheels were the correct model and color. The fourth wheel was a Beyond in Hyper Black. They also completely forgot my center caps, which I also ordered.

So for the moment, only my rears are on. Goal achieved though - a very early 2000’s Fast and the Furious/track look. Oddly with just the rears on, especially with the steamroller 305/35’s it just looks like it’s running drag radials.

I can’t wait to have all four wheels on though.

I also purchased a Street Hunter wing. Debating on actually going through with the wing change, it’s just sitting in the garage waiting for me to get my game plan together.

With how this car currently looks, I find it hilarious that people assume it’s owned by a 20 year old male and instead a 41 yer old female. I’ve just always admired JDM cars and more extreme and bold car looks, but generally I’ve gone for more reserved things for myself.

Hell, I’m really debating on getting a Sayber CF hood too, because I missed my window during the A80 heyday living in the world of LS’s and Terminators.

Nice build...I have an orange Supra 6MT incoming and it will also be on 5 spoke Advan

I most likely will install a GT wing on it so the end result should be like a modern version of the F&F A80. Not intentional but that's the way I want it.

Nice wheels! That is truly baffling that you would be sent one black version. The bar for hiring in the shipping department must've been set very low.
The other day, I was out driving the GR when I pulled up next to a C7 Corvette at a light. The driver, a guy who looked to be close to my age beeped his horn and motioned me to roll down my passenger window.

He asked how difficult it was to get in and out of my car. I told him that I had no problem, but could understand why someone who was tall and overweight might have an issue. The C7 guy went on to say that he loves the profile of the new Supras. Of course, I had to mention that I had owned a C3 and then C5 Corvettes for a total of 34 years. Certainly, he fits the "mold" of a Corvette owner; I do not as a GR Supra owner.
And neither do you, but often, breaking molds is a good thing.

I occasionally see guys over 50, wearing their baseball caps on backwards. Now that I refuse to do.?

What mold did you break? You still find the need to tell the world you owned corvettes. Fit the mold perfectly lol.

Answer: The "mold" that assumes all old car guys own corvettes. I haven't fit into that mold for almost ten years.

Corvette owners past and present never miss an opportunity to let you know they had Corvettes and are better than you because of it.

people that go to the gym all the time are the same and never miss an opportunity to let you know they are gym rats and better than you because of it.

that said….

hey guys, I went to the gym three days this past week despite only being three weeks out from having a bunch of plastic surgery done to my face to make me feel better about my ugly mug. But I’ve never owned a Corvette. Too much of a boomer car for my millennial ass and my wife’s gen X ass.

....said the high school bully who never grew up. I'll have to admit that you do have a strange imagination that is funny in an odd kind of way.?

I was 21 when I bought my first (11 year-old) Corvette, and no, I never said I was "better" than anyone else.
