Saw my first 45th edition in the wild yesterday, socal, north bound on the 605! At first, I saw it behind me and was like oh hey my twin! (absolute zero) and then they got over and I saw the wing and decal... nevermind lol my windows are tinted but I hope you're on here I waved back at you ✌

I agree with that red badge on Orange not looking so hot. Makes me think about smoking the tail lights and reflector for that reason alone. The black badge is perfect! Also, I'd be surprised if he had any real choice like myself in the color unless you were REALLY willing to wait. Although my first choices were the Stratosphere Blue then then Black, I found an Orange one too and jumped on it to end my months of searching and placing deposits. Bet he is stoked just to have gotten a Supra like the rest of us. No matter the color, this car is beautiful.
We decided that if we were going to get a childish sports car again (wife and I are late 40s and it’s been 6 years since we had anything sporty) we might as well go full retard and get the orange. Since it’s only available on the 45th anniversary edition, that’s what we ordered. I agree with @BMWAF that 45 years is a weird fuckin anniversary to commemorate, but whatever. We ordered it in February and got it Friday and it’s awesome

here ya go!

Thanks! Yeah, it was the proximity to the graphic that I was thinking of. There are some carbon fiber guards that aren’t as tall as the ZL but stick out wider, and I wanted to see if it would be weird. I thought carbon guards would go well with the carbon mirrors, but seeing your pics makes me think the black next to black would be better than carbon next to it, and the ZL are tall enough they don’t look funny next to the graphic with that little reveal.

Agreed that 45 years is an odd one to celebrate, but also remember that we have no reason to believe they’re going to be producing any cars on the 50th anniversary. I guess they ran out of other ideas for how to make a special edition

They could always add a second metal speaker box with the ports into the floor and call it the 47.5 anniversary edition ?. I bought my 45th just cause the color. Getting ready to coat it in Feynlabs V3 and can’t wait to see if I can get the orange flake to pop more. I also just bought a 24 type R while helping my daughter buy her first new car. The red interior and the Honda log system was the grabber for me. Honestly I never thought I would buy a Honda and have called them weed whacker engines in golf carts in the past. My garage is now complete (N/A V8 all wheel drive , V6 rear wheel and 4 cylinder front wheel drive). I love tracking so the variety will be fun. Will also be nice to do bolt-ons without breaking the bank on these 2 new ones.

I doubt I'll ever see the wing in the flesh - unless I spot one while over in the US. We don't get such editions here - but the colour is available as a standard option.

In photos online the wing just looks too small and something you would put on a Camry to make it feel "sporty." Mind you, I feel the same way about the swan neck wing seen on the "GRMN" spy shots. In fact, I dare say that one looks even worse. ?‍♂

And as for the sticker, I saw this on Reddit.. as a Nitro owner, I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I have to laugh at times at how so many people think that because they dislike something, that it must not be effective. Here's what GM puts on their C8. I guess GM doesn't know anything about racing.....

I agree and think the Supra is best served by one of the louder colours.. I mean, it's a sports car! The only exception I will make to this is the matte grey as it gives off sophisticated James Bond vibes. Of course, after having this internal debate, I too went full retard and got the yellow. ?

I would venture that this gives us a reason to believe they are not producing any cars on the 50th anniversary. Personally, I think the line shuttering in early 2026 is all but a given now.

Au contraire. I didn't say it was ineffective; I was making the point that aesthetically the wings in question all look like the kind of thing you find on a Camry to make it feel sportier. ?‍♂

Haven't seen a 45th edition, yet I see 1 to 2 cybertrucks everyday :hmm:
I've had my 45th for 7 months now, and many people have complimented it. I've had mailmen come over to take photos and ask me about it, people in gas stations doing the same, and countless people on the street who cannot help but stare. To me, the GR Supra is attainable for many people who really respect that Toyota badge. The Teslas around here are everywhere, thus, they are essentially invisible. I kinda like that, since they used to be rare and stared at.

Ah, but the big difference is that this is not a Camry, so the adjustable spoiler is almost certainly not a cosmetic-only add-on. I cannot recall a Camry with a track-adjustable spoiler......

FFS. I said it looks like it belongs on a Camry. LOOKS LIKE. ?

I'm sure this will come as a complete surprise to you, bu they compliment it because it's a Supra, not a "45th." ?

Many who have complimented it are GR Supra owners........

Like the "mailmen" and "countless people on the street" and the many people who find the GR Supra attainable. Righto.
There is a local Supra group here. So far, I've joined them at at least 5 events (cars&coffee and meetup lunches).
