There is a local Supra group here. So far, I've joined them at at least 5 events (cars&coffee and meetup lunches).
You win.

I take it all back. The 45th is a SUPER SUPRA. The wing on the 45th looks SUPER EXTRA and nothing like you would find on a Camry. Not even close! It produces more downforce than God and in independent tests it seems to even ADD SOME HP. That orange duco is FUCKING MINT and rarely does it look tomato red. And don't get me started on the sticker: It's POSITIVELY ORGASMIC. Did I forget anything? Oh.. I also covet those black brake calipers - WHAT CONTRAST they create with those erm, black wheels. I wish I had a 45th instead of my lowly 44th edition - Is it even a Supra in comparison? WOE IS ME.

Unwatching this thread because I can only deal with so much idiocy. Toodles.

C’mon @BMWAF, you know better than to try and explain to an American why their Special Edition isn’t special. The vast majority of us Americans don’t realize the car is not a Special Edition but rather just an Edition made for Special people.

Not a Corvette.
Ah, but the big difference is that this is not a Camry, so the adjustable spoiler is almost certainly not a cosmetic-only add-on. I cannot recall a Camry with a track-adjustable spoiler......
Your reading comprehension continues to be the worst.

It's disappointing that this is the special edition they dropped. But that wing though hot damn. (Shakes with Sarcasm). Unless orange is your thing, other than that it's just whatever.

I've had my 45th for 7 months now, and many people have complimented it. I've had mailmen come over to take photos and ask me about it, people in gas stations doing the same, and countless people on the street who cannot help but stare. To me, the GR Supra is attainable for many people who really respect that Toyota badge. The Teslas around here are everywhere, thus, they are essentially invisible. I kinda like that, since they used to be rare and stared at.
I agree, but a lot of people don't grow up admiring cars or being car enthusiasts so to them having a Tesla is simply having something they can recharge and goes from point A to point B. My neighbor who just bought the house across the street from me, all have Teslas even their relatives when they come visit have Teslas. It looks like a Tesla dealership parking lot when they have family over.

They must wear the same style clothes and buy the same style furniture as well.? Our governor punishes those who don't conform to his EV mandate. Many obey without question. I am part of the resistance.?

I still love my electric car for getting from point A to B. No gas bill, no electricity bill, no complaints. Virtually cost me nothing to drive it.

I believe some of them are. I'm in the WhatsApp group. Are you in this area?
I'm in Costa Mesa, Orange County.

I wouldn't mind a Model 3 as a daily specially the new one with the refreshed headlights and tail lights, but not as my fun car. I've started seeing Model 3's on the road with big wings and aero kits.

My point a to b vehicles have always included one or two sports cars that stand out from the crowd. Life is too short to let your favorite car(s) sit in the garage. At least that's the way I look at it.? Certainly, though, the vast majority of commuters use multi-purpose vehicles to go to work.

There may be a group in your neck of the woods, but let me know if you want to join our group. I can pass along your contact info.

Many Model 3 Teslas around here are wrapped in a flat or otherwise unusual color as a way of standing out from all the others.

I drive my Supra once a week for a total of about 100 miles a month. Other than that, its my long distance cruiser. Just did 600 miles in it last weekend. So I do get my use out of it. I typically drive a lot (with a 5 year old) so I like putting miles on the throw away electric car for daily abuse stuff. Keeps the Supra nicer, longer. Plus, again, the electric car cost me nothing to drive and as you know, gas prices out here are just awesome....
