I meant track days at any track in general, I don't like Road Atlanta enough to run it more than once a year. As far as other track groups go, I hate having to meet new people and try to make new friends if I went with another group to other tracks. Especially if I have to travel 6-8 hours to get there on top of that.

I threw down a new PB of 1:37.67 at Road Atlanta with the only change being new PMu Club Racer pads. I'm totally in love with them. Decent street bite and once they're hot on track man do they stick. I definitely could have done later braking and more trail braking with them. I'll need a few more events under my belt with them to get used to their bite and modulating off the brake with them. Now that I'm also done with my 265/V730s I'll finally be able to go to 275/RE71RS on the front and gain a little more pace. The only down side is there's a 2.5-3 month break until my next track event due to NASA's summer break so I'll be a little rusty getting back into form.

Hey man, I am part of Jzilla Track days down in Atlanta. We have events there all the time. Lets link up :)

Were you running full off or 1 click? Looked like it tried to correct for you a few times on that lap that cost you some time. You have a 1:35 in the car eaaaaasily!

In other news: Some photos from Barber (same weekend as @Traxion was in town)

I'm a social anti-social, I hate being put in new situations but once I'm comfortable I'm good. I was sad NASA didn't run AMP this year so If NASA doesn't in 2025 I'll consider going with Jzilla.

I run one click and on that mode I know mid 1:36 is definitely achievable but it'd take stringing together things almost perfectly for me to hit 1:35 which I think is probably the max the car can do in it's current setup. Turn 5 is really the only place at Road Atlanta where not having it full off really hurts me. The other areas where it kicks in is maybe a 2-3% power cut which I find acceptable enough and would rather keep my safety. It let's me maintain speed but won't let me add the extra couple MPH left before the true grip limit is achieved.

Fair enough. I haven't been able to set a proper lap with the aero + stock suspension at Road A yet. It's going to be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too hot this weekend for me to even attempt on these yoks.

You do U man. Way 2 go!! As long as you‘re willing to learn & don’t have a know it all mindset, the more you drive :drive:your times will keep coming down.

crap. I’m the same way. I have a hard time starting a conversation with people I don’t know but it if someone asks me questions or whatever I’m good. Going to cars and coffee has helped a bit to get me out of my shell but it’s still pretty thick…
glad ur getting out regardless. You figure at these car “events” just about everyone loves cars! So it’s not like asking someone in a random parking lot about their car. We all actually went out of our way to be there and appreciate/enjoy cars. That’s how I look at it at least.

Threw down a lap at Road Atlanta. 1:36.3 with a 35 having been on the table if I was a better t1 liner and didnt screw up my 3-4

Great lap, you have a 35 easy on the table, maybe even a 34! Your T12 entry into the hot lap was 5mph slower than your T12 on the way to the finish line. At the bottom of the esses you totally could have stayed on the throttle instead of brake tapping/lifting as well.

I just completed my first track day of the year. First day on a Maxis RC-1 square track set. I managed to knock 2s off my P.B. at clubmotorsports. I figured I would be real rusty so I am bit surprised. The car feels more predictable definitely more confidence inspiring. Actually had a fellow runmate in a GT4 wonder over after the session to check out Supra. He mentioned he just couldn't close the gap to me and that I clearly pulled on him in every straight. The Supra really is dang quick. I need a bit more brake though....

I have been tracking a GT4 for the past 5 years and I can tell you that the Supra is faster in a straight line for sure.
