I ordered some front Brembo rotors for my Lexus IS-F from RockAuto - I put them on and took them for a test drive and had awful awful vibration - so much so I thought a bolt had fallen out of the lower control arm.

I put my used parts back on and no issue - I then bought new OEM rotors from the Lexus Dealership and they were totally fine.

I'm not sure what is going on with other sources of these Brembo rotors, but beware....

I would have just gotten them from the dealership if they weren’t charging $400 PER rotor ?

Tl;dr or quick recommendations for new pads

Looking for street grade, no tracks at all, I live in Puerto Rico so its humid/hot, preferably lower dust than manufacturers if possible.

Search the forums and Endless MX72 seems like a great option and bang for buck.

I would not go with track pads for low dust. For street usage, they will "probably" just makes more dust, more screeching noise, wear the rotors faster, and not brake so we'll when cold. Mx72 are great pads in those aspects, but still track pads...

Maybe you should look at ceramic pads instead?

PowerStop Z26. some people like the Z16s, even less dust, but i'm not a fan of how weak they are. also veryyyy certain the MX72s dust more than stocks

Both should point towards the back, sounds like you got two of the same side.

Great point!! I always thought that diagram was for the outside - slotted rotors. I didn’t even realize the inside (vented) vanes could be directional as well. Thus on RockAuto.com, some are right and left (directional) rotors and some not. I went and looked up my backup rotors (front and rear) & marked up the boxes as to which are which, lol. Thank goodness for your helpful threads ??

Also if I'm getting hawk dt60s for the front, will these sensors still work with them?
sensors do not work with them. You can modify it to fit but out of the box they won’t clip in.

I never even thought of this. Do the sensors work with the PMu club racers?

Not a Corvette.
Moral of the story, you should be watching your pad wear very closely, and likely replacing them well before the sensor would alert you.
Agreed. Use your eyes. :) If you track your car, you should be going over the car before every event.

I made it a habit years ago to paint pen mark any bolts I have messed with. You can quickly scan them while looking over the car to see if anything has shifted.
