I would assume those are BMW settings and just because they are selectable does not mean they improve anything
neutral/relaxed/etc are adjuatments to the xhp shift maps. there is a separate setting to revert back to use bmw/zf shift maps.

Is there a way to do the back up of OEM shiftmaps directly from the transmission? I understand xHP allows to go back to the original shift points, but it'd be great to make sure they are really 1 to 1. I mean there are different FW for transmission, I'm sure FW impacts shiftmaps at certain point.

Thank you for sharing your settings.

you have a point, i do not know if there is a way to tell if xhp reverts back to a 2020 version of the bmw/zf map, or the one that came on my 2023 model year.

Before you flash the first time, XHP backs up your OEM transmission tune.
You are right, this is what xHP wrote me:

"Our app checks which map was installed originally and prepares exactly this calibration for the stock flash.
So, our app normally always flashes back the right stock file for your car. If there is an update for the stock file, it will be flashed automatically instead of the old stock file."

Am I crazy or is the stage 2 8th gear non-existent in sport-auto mode? I was chilling at like 95 mph and the engine was happily buzzing away in 7th gear and wouldn't shift. this is without shift point adjustment for that mode.
Same.

The only way I can get into 8th is to toggle from Sport into Normal.

Any updates on this?

preeeeeetty sure this is how it is stock, too

some quick research for you:
https://www.supramkv.com/threads/sport-mode-question.6652/
Something you see with some automatic transmissions is the top 1-2 gears are moreso "economy gears" that aren't really meant for performance driving, that could possibly have something to do with it.

I know in my old 370z the Jatco 7SPD's 6th and 7th gears won't throttle blip on downshifts, and if you ever boosted one you'd have to avoid throttle in 6th or 7th for fear of grenading your transmission.

I downloaded the latest xHP app update hoping they fixed some of these bugs for iOS but nope still glitchy.

For some reason the app struggles to recognize the xHP dongle even though its connected via WiFi. This is after I deleted the connection to my home WiFi and Apple Carplay on iDrive.

It took me 5 attempts before it finally flashed the TCU with my custom settings. To me it looks like the xHP dongle is flawed.

I’m loving xHP after a month or so. I’m running OTS map 2 (or do they call it stage 2?) and it’s great in normal and sport. Lighting quick shifts and the shift map in normal is so much better than stock. The pops & bangs on decel are noticeably more aggressive, as are the braps on upshift - these things surprised me a bit. I may decide to tone them down, let’s see.

I’m still on stage 4 (or 3 ?) and McLovin ? it! In town or on track… a great upgrade to the car in both comfort and sport mode.

Has anyone used Sportive+ in D-mode yet? Curious to see how good or bad it was.
