People act like they’re never going to get old. The skinny jean hipsters are such drama queens these days.

Exactly. Once the previous gens go to school, they believe their knowledge surpasses all older generations.

Not a Corvette.
Just keep proving that point.

When will the Boomer Blob stop creeping? Nobody knows!

It not about age Dave. I'm sorry... its just... you.
Been lurking on the forums for a long time, reading and researching.
I've come across you... alot. I've Noticed that your logic is a bit...different, to say the least. Maybe Try not using GTP for information. Look at this as an A&E intervention support meeting.

@_Sp1ral0ut Would you like to go next?

The problem with the razor clan is that you feel that four or five guys can overrule anyone who disagrees with what you have to say. I found this out, soon after joining the forum. When my diff output shaft seal started leaking, a few forum guys tried to tell me that the dealership Supra tech who identified the source couldn't be trusted. So I had a BMW repair shop owner check, then a an additional check by a different dealership's Supra tech. Each of their diagnosis was the same.
I think you can see that I don't necessarily believe someone just because he or they demand that I do. I go multiple sources if there is any doubt.
But getting back to this oil discussion, if I find that the 0W-20 GR oil causes accelerated wear that is revealed by periodic oil analysis, I will reveal as such.
As we boomers say, "The proof is in the pudding."

I'm sorry Dave. I really am, but this thread isn't about oil if you haven't realized yet. Its about your stubbornness. After reading the whole ASD deenergizing the exhaust valve, to the thread about installing a 50 year old ScanGauge into a modern 60K car, which razor was even helping you out with. I just cant.

Anyways

The point is you can use any oil you deem best for your situation. You don’t have to use the messed up cafe ☕ US version we got. Or you can, if that’s what you prefer…. Brother rottmore is right. Read that bobistheoilguy thread and let us know what’s wrong with the grownups in that room. It’s not a young or old person thang.

I'm sorry, but this argument isn't about me, it's about those who refuse to look at the details of usage.
I just spent 15 minutes reviewing many posts on bobistheoilguy. The majority of these posts include the same things I've been saying here. This statement sums it up, nicely:
" If the thin oil is getting much hotter than normal driving temps, or overly diluted with fuel, at some point the viscosity will get too low to adequately protect the moving parts. It's basic Tribology."

Essentially, use the viscosity that suits YOUR driving habits and vehicle modifications.

Okay this has jumped the shark. When you are that stubborn and now start blaming others for your actions… it’s time for me to put the fool on ignore.

You all have fun with him.
....said the guy who blames me for pointing out logical reasons for using the factory oil.
My guess is that you never participated in a debate club at school.

Just a thought, not directed at anyone, maybe clean up the thread a bit. Or, a lot, delete every post except the very first one. Sticky that thread. Make a copy of this one if people want to continue debating.

I didn't realize what a mess it was, I'm just as guilty as anyone else. It seems the thread has gone a different direction than i believe the author intended.
