Unless you live in the Sahara, I don't think you need to worry about oil temps and power loss from said oil temps on the street. IAT power loss is very real though.

I'd actually give a prize to somebody that can hit 279F+ oil temps on the street from anything other than just pinning the throttle for 20 miles 2 inches off another cars bumper with zero air flow.
for the track enthusiast that wants to take advantage of the summer events in the south where ambient temps reach upper 90s, is there any mod that you would add, or even then the car can handle cooling just fine.

I was considering upgrading to the Wagner manifold for that reason.

Intake manifold if you are getting high IATs.

That’s the only thing I’ve heard that significantly brings down IATs & less heat soak. If I drove April - October, I’d do it.

Methanol > all
Another friend asked me why I haven’t done this yet. Only reason, convenience of pump & go gas

Shouldn't be an issue when you go to the track though right? Just don't use meth on the street and then swap to a meth map when on track.

Ideally you wouldn't actually tune for a meth mix as that is when bad things can happen. You would use a mix that the STFT's could handle and you use the mix for cooling only, not actual octane.

That way, if you run out, which you will if you are doing actual lapping and not just Time Trial 2-3 hotboi laps, then the DME can quickly compensate via STFT's.

Most foolproof would be using something like Rev2 or Motiv Reflex hardware that are tied into the DME and could quickly switch maps when out of the mix.

I agree that If you’re running meth without Reflex/Rev2, you shouldn’t be hard-tuning for it.

But tbh i'm not concerned about running out, because i am indeed doing hotboi laps. Well, mostly. But this is a time attack build. Our sessions overall are 20 minutes long (in general, not mine), and that's not enough for me to finish a 3L tank of meth. The reserve light is nice to have though.

See, that’s already more work than I want to do 😜

If you lived next door and wanted to shared a garage with me at the track, I’d be willing to give it a go 😉. As long as I could easily go back to pump gas in a flash.

My days of trailering a car and prep > fun are dun. I love the hobby at this level. Despite my many slip ups and complexing things more than I want/need to 🫠

Still given where we live, that manifold looks mighty nICE 🧊

no argument from me there man. The wagner has been great tbh

edit: wagner needs to pay Razorlab a fee man, so many of us have pickup up one of their manifolds at least in part because of his posts

I tend to trust him. Even (and mainly) when he’s angry 😁😁😁

I am absolutely in love with this car. Would not choose any other car within it's price range or even double the price range. I've mentioned this before, but as good as something like a GT4 is for example, i'm not going to start chucking away OEM GT4 parts for aftermarket ones. Feels borderline blasphemous....and is just a giant waste of money. I wanted a canvas, so i could paint my own picture, and that's what the Supra gave me. A reliable canvas.
I love this sentiment, echoes my own. Only car I've ever bought twice, though I've never been in the same situation before. Nonetheless, completely agree. I'm building my perfect car, it's the first time I haven't somewhat side-eyed other cars while having her. People are asking what I'd do differently this time around, and my answer is: nothing. I was, and am, building my perfect car.
