For what it's worth, it helps to park the car on a slope and have the trunk / hatch / boot facing downhill. It drains better...

My driveway has a decent slope, so works well for me.

I use a power washer and blow dryer and that makes short work of any water in crevices.

i dont have a sloped driveway unfortunately. Makes sense tho.

The issue have is that i have an excellent foam attachment I use with my old school Karcher pro (the grey ones) and the soap suds stick pretty well to the inside. Even with a blower the foam is all over the shop. I wonder if that cavity contributes to downforce in any way?

It foams up the car so good it looks like the stay puft scene from ghostbusters.

Please... Tell us more.
While I see what you are doing, it's worth noting that at the moment, Australia is absolutely cooked.

In the last few years we have had a massive spike in theft, carjackings, armed robberies, home invasions, knife crime and general unrest. We have gangs roaming the streets and kids are dying. Most of these offenders are under the age of 18, with many offending while already out on bail.

A few weeks ago two kids walking home near where I work were stabbed to death with machetes in broad daylight by a gang of kids.

This is all very new to us and as a nation we are struggling to come to terms with it. Culturally, this has never been part of our make-up and so conclusions are being drawn. And while some of these conclusions may be unsavory, not all of them are completely unfair or unwarranted.

BS

These things happened in Sydney for as long as i can remember and to be honest, there is much less robbery and car theft than I remembered in the 90s.

Sydney is one of the safest city in the world and the cultural diversity is immense. Immigrants made Australia a much stronger country. If youth crimes are rising (which I don’t see that’s the case), don’t blame the immigrants, blame the education system,

One positive of the current climate... the racists just tell us they are.

Stop with your actual facts. Ignore that Sydney is the 4th safest city in the world, 6th most liveable, and 2nd safest place to travel. Or that Australias murder rate is lower than the US. Or that the homicide rate is the lowest it has been since 1990, from 2.19 to 0.74.

Never mind this took me less than five minutes to fact check.

Never mind all that.

Can we please drop the politics and get back to the topic at hand of whether or not annoying crevices on cars is a Big Powertool conspiracy to sell more leafblowers to car enthusiasts for car drying?

Ok Mate. Whatever you reckon. I can't speak for Sydney but I guarantee you that in the 1990s Melbourne did not have car jackings or weekly reports of gangs running around with fucking machetes!

Maybe instead of using your memory, look at some actual crime statistics. You might be surprised at what you see.

Australia a much stronger country. If youth crimes are rising (which I don’t see that’s the case), don’t blame the immigrants, blame the education system,
Firstly, youth crime has increased dramatically so stop making things up and secondly, it's not an immigrant problem, it's a cultural one. Unlike very patriotic countries like the United States, Australia has always suffered from a lack of unity and shared identity.. but I don't want to derail this thread any further.

EDIT: If anyone has any doubt, please read the linked article. It's damning and that's from the (very) left leaning ABC!

"That means you are less safe having your car parked here than you were at any time in history, and we have less cars in the city, but more cars stolen."

Yeah.. @GRMan everything is just fine!
