Sure it can be fine. BUt not everyone runs a good quality oil so appeal to the lowest denominator.

If i ran a 300km race. I would change it. 15 laps, I would change it.

You can never over service a car and the oils performance whilst being in spec after repeated thrashings, ....is never as good as fresh uncontaminated oil.
In general I tend to err on the side of being cautious, but I also like having data. I would advise people who are making a habit of tracking the car to have their oil tested, not just because you may be able to run longer intervals, but you'll also get a baseline for your engine's metal wear.

I did tests after One Lap of America (4000 miles of driving + probably 40-50 laps in 7 days) and after multiple track days and it's always tested okay. I would definitely recommend Redline for this platform.

My engine is probably going to blow up soon. Typically I run 400-500 miles on the track plus 1000-2000 miles on the street before I change it. I also see close to 300 degree oil temps.

holy guacamole those are slicks
They have a nice little groove on them so you can drive on the street 😉. As far as options, with those wheels you can try multiple options. Tons of variety in that size available. I can honestly say at Homestead & Sebring & warmer track days, the Victra RC-1s provide a lotta bang for the sticky track buck. As long as you keep driving /practicing in the rain - you’ll get really comfortable driving on semi-slicks all year round. They’ll be my street & track tire until next rainy season.

Side note: the Maxxis rubber heats up really quick as well. You’ll pass most cars on the first lap out in the red groups. They also stay sticky all the way to cord. So you do have to inspect them visually. You don’t feel them drop off like you do with other tires I’ve used.

Dammit… my engine is also bound to blow 😏

An1 knows front and rear height + rake GT4 Supra runs? I will be re-doing suspension this month after last race (fighting to win whole street class against GT Porsches) and thinking about some adjustments.

Or what do U guys run in terms of track height?

A few laps at Homestead. As the laps go by I can feel that my street tires are gone. (These is a new kind of realization for me as a new HPDE driver)

was a lot of fun. Hoping to come back next month with brand new suspension components and better tires.

As low as I can go w/out rubbing 🙃
Why as low as possible? I'm wondering where is the sweet spot compared to stock to not mess up susp geometry, as i heared lowering too much is not adviced.
Atm I run stock-ish height (-12mm front, stock height rear) but looking for some upgrade there. Also wondering how much rake fr vs rear is optimal. Wondering if i should go lower (esp in front) or not.

GT4 does not seem too low, lowered but no idea how much and i cant find the info at all.

Good news though. Your tires and suspension aren't whats holding you back. Unless the tires are bald, or cording I'd recommend no changes and spend more time working on the basics. Which means you get to save some money! I don't think you hit a single apex in that video. So I'm happy to help if you have any questions, just DM!

Hi,
Has anyone had experience fitting 295/30 R18 tyres (crs) on 18×11 wheels with an offset of ET20 or less?

Front camber is 4deg, and rear is -2.8.

Will rub front outer fender liner if you are too low and/or soft spring rates.

I run 295/35/18 on 18x11 +28 in front. .5" lower. 650lb front springs and I slightly rub outer fender liner on hard compressions on track. It's about 98% self cleared at this point though.

I run so the lowest part of my car is 80mm off the ground because that's what my class rules say.
Looks like below.
You want a bit of rake and also want to look at the suspension arms, don't want them going past parrallel.

Got it, thanks. The problem is finding good 18×11 wheels — Konig, Apex, or Protrack. Rays are almost impossible to get in 18×11 with 5x112.
295/30 CRS on a 10.5 looks a bit pinched.

I've been running 295/30 on a 10.5 TE37 and it's been fine.

I damaged one of my wheels so i have a set of Apex 18x11 on the way (10 month wait for a replacement). What makes you think they're hard to get? Is it because you're only shopping locally? Apex ship worldwide.
