Getting back to what you said about the Cayman do you think the Cayman will fit an International SuitCase? That's ultimately what I need to happen for me to be able to use it as a daily. I work remotely and travel alot so these images below bascially showcase what the M2 can do and what I look forward to being able to do.

Yea I think the international Suitcase might be a push, but in general I've always been a inline 6 turbo kind of guy. Every car to date I've owned will have had this and I see no reason for me to stop this trend I'm very much indoctrined into this and want to keep to this trend for as long as I can before it gets phased out which actually might happen in the near future.

So, you're getting rid of the supra based on....

...storage space?
Getting rid of it becuae the Interior is dated in 2025+, the interior doesn't remotely match what I've been acustomed to in a MKIV Supra and it's basically an awful car to do airport pick up and drop offs. As in even if you're picking up one person at the airport it's a struggle to handle that singlular task. Plus upgrading to a S58 and getting a second turbo with 141 additional HP sounds pretty good to me.

You are right about the interior being dated considering "new" cars now have a giant tablet on the dash and all physical controls behind the touch screen. But if that's what you prefer that's okay too.

I do agree with you that it would be tough if it was my only car

Last year I drove up to the local BMW dealer with a nicely specced out / color M2, couldnt believe how big and ugly it was compared to the soup. I suppose the interior is nicer and thats where you see it most of the time, but oof. That car is so heavy and ugly. Just not worth it

The Supra has alot of filler space and it becomes extremely obvious how much filler when you start looking at the trunk and the opening of it. So much space is wasted for flare which then becomes unusable space. Take a look at the images of the Trunk I showed on a M2 then go look at a Supra MKV. You have easily six inches to a foot on each side of unusable flare, this also includes the point of contact from the door hinge outwards. I referenced this a hard point in earlier posting in this thread. Furthermore I noted that the hardpoint here should have been on a M2 as compared to a Z4. All of this made the car extremly small and tight and frankly a nuscience for everyday usage. If you drive your Supra for the "looks" of it that's you, I drive everyone of my cars for their actual usage all around and I don't really see a reason for compramise even for "design flare". The M2CS looks alright to me and it's performance is pretty decent didn't see this video until today but it held it's own against American Muscle. I'm certain I'll see a perfomrnace increases as compared to my Supra MKV while having additional use cases so all I'm seeing here is ++:

I'm pretty sure every display in the MKV is a panel although a small panel there were no acutal gagues in the car sure you have older BMW climate control systems but the tach is a simulated LCD like an overlay ontop of a LCD so it was well on it's way there. Speedometers or gauges while nice don't have longevity like LCD panels as I've had to replace all mine on my MKIV Supra so it actually does make sense that they switch to something that had a longer lifespan. I just felt the MKV was inbetween old and new and I'd rather be a in place of new rather then the middle. If I wanted retro I'd just hop in my MKIV Supra that has that along with a 6 speed Manual.

Jason did like the older M2 better but he was talking about the hardpoints of the car and I now agree or am I saying (additionally) the hardpoints should have been on a M2 not a Z4 anyone who has driven or owns a MKIV supra will quickly say the M2 is closer to what an MKIV offers and not a roadster car. No Supra before this MKV was ever a roadster platform, I indulged it and after 5-6 years I'm saying they got it wrong it should have never been a roadster. I believe the 2020 C2 was 20K more and the the 2026 CS is 30k more vs (new supra) 40k more if you get Carbon Ceramic. But with that 30k you're getting alot, current gen iDrive (Not two generation old) S58 Motor with two turbos (additional 141 HP), Carbon Bucket Seats, carbon roof, carbon trunk, better wheels, more usable space, more headroom, and probbaly some other stuff but what I've listed here is more then enough for me. In the last 5 years my paycheck and my investments have grown way more then the gap between the two cars plus trade in value for my MKV is around 40k so it's pretty much like buying another MKV supra again (five years later) which I'll take and gladly do.I did pay cash in 2019 for the Launch Edition Supra so I suppose that helps.

The MKIV does not have any cupholders. As in this MKIV I took the photo this morning, one of my HRE caps has gone missing :( but again there are no cupholders in this car and in my 27 years of ownership I've never had a problem with the missing cupholders.

I dont think anyone is trying to argue that the supra is a good daily or "all-rounder".

I just prefer no compromises, so I have a roomy daily too.

"One of the largest complaints that the M2 CS gets is that it doesn't have a cup holder, lol. Do you know what else doesn't have a cup holder? The MKIV Supra, so you could say I'm used to it."

Unless this was edited, ya'll that love to call out someone else for stupid comments/mistakes need to check yourself, lol.

I’ve grown to like the looks of the G87 in the right color. It gives me some R34 GTR vibes with an extra dose of Lego style bulges and shapes. I’ve also had several concussions. So there’s that.

If it were me I’d skip the CS, save a ton of money, and put CS engine and steering tune on the regular G87. Folks on Bimmerpost have reported really good results.

I test drove a G42 M240 and found it really really boring. I’d like the think that the G87 is more interesting. Especially since so many praise it as the best all rounder sports car option under $100k these days. Maybe that’s just because there are barely any options in that price range new.
