Missed the point completely my friend , I said Subaru and reliability should never be in the same sentence, pointing out stock cars blowing engines from excess RTV or right handers on a back road, then you go off a tangent on Cup cars and all.
The amount of BRZ/FRS and GT86 FA20s that are blowing engines left and right is hilarious and well documented. They haven't fixed any off that issue with the FA24.
Btw a stock M car doesn't need bigger oil pans, baffles and such to be reliable on track as they are well designed from the factory.
Keep drinking that copium thinking Subaru had made a reliable product
Dude you never had one... you just a parrot repeating what other people said somewhere else and took it as gospel because it fits your narrative...goddamn hilarious accusations on FA24 blowing engine left right and centre...yeah, they all blowing up somewhere in your little grey cells...NO I HAVEN'T SEEN ONE!!!!

Honestly, once i saw that count of 70 cars, there's really no point in trying to dive deeper to remedy any car's flaws (supra or otherwise). The difference between a bad car vs good car ownership is like... 3 months vs 2 years.

I am older. So I have had many years to increase the count. 😁
I just looked at my list and it’s actually only around 60 cars.
The Supra is my most recent addition to the list.
Admittedly I still a have more of the 60 than I care to admit. But most are NC Miatas - which I don’t think should count as whole cars. 😂

Or 10+ years in my case. I tend to keep stuff a long time.

Yeah, 60 - 70 cars is... whatever, just get another.

What are you on about? It's the same engine. Just with additional cooling components. The argument was their engine design is shit and can't handle a few hard corners which is obviously not the case.
Someone was stating that the BRZ engine can't be that bad since cup cars seem to survive. I pointed out the cup cars have work done to stave off the common (but inevitable, I'm sure) oil issues, so they aren't the same as what someone will buy for the street. Maybe I quoted the wrong person. My mistake.

Thank you to those who responded. It helped me in my analysis of the viable options. I’ve decided to proceed with the Supra as I had originally planned when I bought it. Hopefully Apex has their Black Friday sale early enough that I can have new wheels and tires for COTA in November. Otherwise, I’ll be arriving with a Miata in tow.

Cheers y’all!
