Yea I dont remember anyone saying we were owed anything either. As a 2020 owner you cant help but feel a little slided by the upgrade but it is what it is... Ill just scoop up a 21 or get something
If you notice, most of the people talking that shit is non Supra owners....... Anyways....

Your definition of major and minor are completely subjective. Don't twist it.
You are trying to compare a new motor by toyota to the tuning changes Nissan made. Its laughable ... like I said dont twist it.

I owned 1 CBA and 2 DBA and Motor remained untouched... even Now. The context of this thread is power so dont try and make bs points like you are speaking to casuals

But where does the line get drawn for major and minor? If Toyota sets the precedent that they will let people tune their car within warranty because it is deemed as major, then any other change can be deemed by owners a major change. This is something that would impact them years to come and lead to never updating anything except for completely new models. I'm sorry you got the short end of the stick, but allowing people to modify their car within warranty is a terrible business decision.

it is a terrible Decision for Toyota, and I dont expect them to do it. If anything we are just shooting the shit about it here. No one really believes they would do that. Not even a Toyota tune would make sense to them.

Then don't make me out to be the bad guy as if I don't understand your frustrations.

you obviously liked them, having had 3, the GT-R is a dream car of mine. Not quite capable of buying a new one, and too worried about the transmission to buy used. How does it compare to the Supra? The GT-R is obviously faster, and AWD, but I really like the cabin redesign. I'm 2 years away from a substantial pay increase and definitely considering picking one up then. Maybe the new one will be out by then.

I really love GTR, people like to say its no fun because of how easy it is to drive and the electronic thats help. But it was the funnest car Ive ever owned. To this day I havent had a car that compares to its brutal, almost violent acceleration. 80 comes in a blink. FBO E85 is the best bang too. After that your wallet will hurt. I liked the rawness of the CBA, and built one. Its a very mechanical car, noisy trans regardless of the LC version you put, its a purpose built machine! IMO one of the greatest platforms of all time. The later version focused more on comfort and amenities, which is fine. But my Favorite years will always be the 09 and 2012-2013. The trans got a bad wrap because LC1 was too aggressive and people were out there really abusing the car. But you can ship the trans to jacks or sheps and get a rebuild for like 5-7k. Preventative thats is. I did shep 1k on mine and it was bulletproof at my power levels. And the car handles like dream. Compared to the Supra.... eeek... well... stock for stock the Supra might handle better but doesnt have the power to take it. The Supra comes with comfy seats and a USB, GTR owners know what I mean there lol. But honestly if performance is what drives you, there is no comparison even the first year GTR.

The only negative comment I've received came from a car wash attendant.. (he had an old civic I believe).

Im not making anyone out to be anything. My frustrations are minor, its like buying a cheeseburger and realizing there was a double. Really as far as it goes. Im enjoying the hell out of this car though, no doubt there

I wonder if the 2021 has the same turbo or bigger one... Curious if it will make more whp after being tuned vs 2020 on same exact tune.
The 2021 MKV Supra's B58M3001 uses a larger turbo and the part number is (11657934387). The 2020 MKV Supra has a smaller turbo on it's B58B30C motor and the part number is (11657934332). The factory boost pressure is also higher on the 2021 model MKV Supra as well by about 4-5psi.

For the 500-550whp mark the B58B30C (2020 model) with higher compression given the same turbo size and same boost will be the winner. For higher boost pressures 25+psi I will give it to the B58M3001 (2021 model) with it's 10.2:1 compression, as it will be able to handle higher target PSI in the tunes.
