  1. Wheel hop - what more can I do?

That, and with the size of the average American, maybe they assumed the car will be loaded to the weight limit at all times anyway.
  2. Wheel hop - what more can I do?

Interesting sticker. I’m in the U.S. and it only lists the pressure for the wheels on the car, and only lists 38 PSI, not a range. I’ll try dropping tire pressure when I have some time to cruise back roads.
  3. DIY Alcantara Steering Wheel Wrap

Looks nice! Looks like something that could’ve been an OEM option. So much better than the carbon fiber monstrosities that have somehow become popular.
  4. Wheel hop - what more can I do?

The sticker in the door asks for 38 PSI. What’re the pros and cons of 38 vs 32?
  5. Well, finally got one

    riveting tale ol chap
  6. Poll on new supras, did you pay at, below, or above MSRP. You can select 2 options.

I got on the waiting list in March ā€˜24 at my local dealer for a Supra at MSRP. I wanted auto, premium, driver assist package. Blue was my first choice and white my second. I was told I was around #15 on the list. While waiting, I was offered a black auto and a blue manual. I passed. In August...
  7. OEM Alcantara Seats

The IS probably has 3x the glass area of a Supra so I’d expect the Supra to be different. I was surprised how comfortable the Supra is getting into it after work on a hot day.
  8. OEM Alcantara Seats

I have leather seats in mine and it gets into the low 100s in the summer here for the highs. I just got the car this past August so haven’t had it for a full summer yet, but the seats and interior in general have been surprisingly cool on hot days. The windows are tiny, that probably helps with...
  9. Photo of the day... šŸ˜

If it had 3.0 wheels on it, it'd blend right in on this site haha. The 2.0 was sold in '24, discontinued for '25 - see Car and Driver article
  10. Supra Manual : "A future classic " ????

You’re old enough to have a kid that drives? I wonder how ages compare of manual vs auto Supra buyers.
  11. Supra Manual : "A future classic " ????

I think this is the part a lot of people are forgetting. The people buying these used in 10 years didn’t grow up with the shitty 90s automatics.
  12. How far did you go to pick up your Supra?

I got a red ā€˜24 for $5k under back in August. It sat on the dealer lot for a week before they dropped the price. It looks pretty sweet, it gets more attention from random people than I had expected. Red was also not my first choice, but it’s grown on me.
  13. Photo of the day... šŸ˜

I drive a ā€˜24 3.0. It’s a street car so no giant wing or carbon lips, no aftermarket intake that more often than not actually reduces power, etc. All common mods on 3.0 Supras.
  14. Photo of the day... šŸ˜

There’s no shortage of riced out 3.0 Supras on this site. Having the bigger engine doesn't take away peoples’ desire for unnecessary mods.
  15. Dealer BS

Paying cash isn’t the negotiating tactic you seem to think it is.
  16. Official STRATOSPHERE BLUE Supra Club Thread

What’s your suspension setup? Do you have wheel spacers or not? Looks really good!
  17. ZF8 Automatic transmission Vs. the manual 6 speed

The FL5 is an awesome car. If I needed to buy a 4 door, that’s what I’d get. A combo of auto Supra + FL5 would complement each other very nicely.
  18. ZF8 Automatic transmission Vs. the manual 6 speed

That’s a good point. When I was waiting for an auto to appear earlier this year, Toyota’s inventory page was 80% manual within a 500 mile range of me. I counted them. New autos are now hard to find, especially if you’re picky about the color and options.
  19. ZF8 Automatic transmission Vs. the manual 6 speed

Are you saying a modified car can be faster than a stock car? What’s to keep someone with an auto from doing the same mods as you? But without the clutch issues that the manual is known for I don’t think the market for manuals will disappear anytime soon. I also don’t think the manual Supra...
  20. ZF8 Automatic transmission Vs. the manual 6 speed

It’d be crazy to buy the slower version of a car in the hopes that the next guy will want it a little more. I’m not convinced the manual will be worth more in the future, since people who own them say it’s not very good (even in this thread). I’m not sure that the people who will be buying...
