Me too.... I am surprised that Savage Geese did not put out a video. They were at the media event as they did a video on the GR Corolla.
Savage Geese are Supra haters sadly

Considering they had a supra video called "3 pedals short of greatness", I'm betting they'll do one eventually.

They're probably waiting until they actually have one to review outside of that event.

It is definitely NOT a V16 series. I know you're referring to the Wikipedia article but the V16 series transmissions are a longitudinal transmission, not transverse like the GR Corolla and GR Yaris.
Can it be a modified version and still be made by Getrag?

I lost respect for Mark when he kept emphasizing double a-arms on the Z when the supra is better in every quantitative test, I guess they are trying hard to find something nice to say about the Z. But... A pig with double A-arms is still a pig... They don't seem to care when M cars and 911/718 also use fancy McPherson struts like a Supra.

Yup lol. Some of their videos are decent with good technical details but their whole vibe is just meh. I feel worn out and depressed after watching their videos if that makes sense haha

Agree. Totally lost respect for the guy. How could he be so far off :dunno:

The beauty of the internet is that you can spend the time to watch whatever youtuber or influencer you want. You can listen to a certain podcast or the news and it can be a drag on your emotions, but then there is the opposite of the homer car influencers that just say positive things in fear of not being invited to the next press event which is bad in it's own way. It's good to get perspective from the lovers and the haters, and after watching savagegeese enough I already know what to expect so that depressing feeling doesn't come as hard as the first time lol. I do appreciate their videos and they are actually one of the reasons why I put down a deposit for a Supra from watching their 3 videos on the Supra. And to circle back to my first point, Supra owners that keep hating on savagegeese for hating on their beloved A90s have the freedom to just not click on their videos. But I get it, you're bored and still curious what the "haters" got to say.

Good points. Yeah i do appreciate when YouTubers give their honest feelings on the cars they review, and they don’t just hype it up or sugarcoat it for the sake of being invited to the next corporate press event, but it kinda feels like they are doing that for the Z here.

I have nothing against those who dislike the Supra, to each their own. But there’s a difference between going into the review with an open mind where you give the car a fair chance, and rate it objectively based on its merits; and going into the review with a biased mindset where you can’t wait to try and find something wrong with it or you want to hate it because of the BMW part. I think most people who “dislike” it are in the latter group.

Yeah definitely a little suspicious with their Z review. They seemed to get exclusive super early access to the Z months before any other youtuber and combine that with any wining & dining from Nissan "influenced" them to give an even more glowing review. Also maybe since they already had such low expectations coming from the 370Z that the new 400Z had the facade to be that much better. I believe they both were very negative on the 370Z in the past. The pre A90 release had such high expectations that were always impossible to achieve once we knew it was made by BMW even though its a very good car.

" There are no bad behaviors here, but the satisfaction of finally having the Supra's manual available feels hollow, like when your significant other caves and belatedly does something you asked them to do."

I'd compare it to nostalgia. Sticks were better than slushboxes when most of us got "started". Transmission technology has changed. It's pretty simple.

You're not wrong but I think it's more than that. I just find driving autos or DCTs boring af. It's not really a question of how good autos have gotten, it's about how good the manual driving experience was, is and forever will be.
