hey!
i couldn't find any info on the carbon guards rock guards, but i assume they're the same size as the ZL1 rock guards.
any manipulation needed to be using the rock guards + EOS side skirts and spats?
Hey! The carbon rock guards a lower profile than the ZL1s which is why I went with them instead of the other ones. Didn't want it to flare out too much. As for fitment, there were no issues with the EOS side skirts and spats. ?

@mojo_jojo77777 and I got to join @Rocksandblues for a member day at Dominion Raceway. Was a great time hanging out, learning the track, and getting seat time. 11/10 would recommend.

Some in cabin/helmet footage from paddock, out lap, and one decent lap.

If you use the spot metering and select the outside and lock that exposure in, your gopro videos will look much better and not all blown out. :)

I usually select the drivers side windshield area and it works out well:

Good to know! Yeah the in cabin footage is pretty bad ?. Wasn't sure I was going to use the footage and just use the helmet view but wanted to do a cool transition. I'll definitely try that out next time. Appreciate it!

Installed some Bride Zieg IV Wides. I have the Cusco trunk harness bar but getting that powder coated soon since im not the biggest fan of the blue. Still have to order a set of 6 point harnesses (the seats came with the Takata drift style 4 point harness and was advised to get 6 for track).

Install wasn't bad just had to mess with seat belt receptacle and coding out the restraint errors. A buddy with protool coded everything out but still have the seatbelt light on the dash. Not sure if there is a way to get rid of that entirely.

Hey I see me in your video! :) Lemme know if you want my POV of that, I can send it to you.
Haha yup, I saw you coming up quick so tried to give you the point by asap.

Appreciate it! I just wanna see the lines you’re taking and the speeds you’re taking certain turns. Some segments I feel like I’m not carrying enough speed and coast too much ?.

Here is a link to that session from my POV:
I think you are in view pretty much from the beginning with a few cars in-between. I start getting closer around 5:25.

I couldn't get my trackaddict to work all weekend, so I don't actually know what times I was running. I poked around in my videos for what seemed like an OK lap of 1:41.

I *think* I had a better lap somewhere, but maybe not. It was tough to get a clean lap, lots of traffic. My OBD adapter was also falling out of my OBD port while I was driving. I tried taping it down, but it still fell out. That being dangerous, I ran without it, so I didn't get the speeds that way either.

I've only been in intermediate for 3 events, so don't put too much stock into what I do or what my comments are. Take it with a huge grain of salt. I know almost nothing :)

To my intermediate eye, your line looks pretty similar to mine. The biggest difference I see is coming out of turn 17, you hug the inside and stay left all the way to 17. I track out right at 17, then setup around the middle of the track to turn into 18. Just FYI, in my video I actually screw up the exit of 18 and miss the apex of 1. I intend to be all the way right there.

Line aside, i think your corner speeds are mostly similar to mine. I think where I make up the most time is on the two straights. The entry into those two turns are the most important spots on the track. Nailing that with the best exit speed will get you the best time in the longest portions of the track. Without real data to look at, I would guess that I am getting on the power earlier than you coming out of those turns. My car is stock (just pads/fluid and tires), so it could also be that your aero is slowing you down in those sections? I don't know how much downforce you have and whether those sections are fast enough to make a difference. I think I am also braver on the brakes than you at the end of those sections, but its hard to tell without braking data.

I also see that your inputs on the wheel are very smooth. That is fantastic, you dont want to be correcting your line midturn. However, if you are trying to feel out where the limit is, at some point you are going to start getting under/oversteer. Since I didnt really see any of the wheel wiggiling people do when fighting for traction, that makes me think you could either be on the brakes less or the throttle more. Some might say that fighting for grip like that means you are overdriving the car, but how else can you find out where you can be faster? Not to an unsafe degree, just a fraction faster each time until you feel the tires giving. As an example, you can see the kind of wiggling I do the karousel. I'm understeering a little, so I let out some steering angle, and then add it back when it's hooking up. Then again, more than one person told me I was being too aggressive and driving faster than my ability, so maybe dont listen to me...

Haha I appreciate the feedback! Always enjoy learning from everyone’s experiences. But that all makes sense. It wasnt till later in the day I remembered to track out after the loop coming into 17.

Yeah I do need to start braking later and getting on the gas sooner I just gotta build the confidence ?. Next event I’ll push a bit more to see where the limits are. ??

Upgraded from the Sayber front lip/splitter to the Verus high down force splitter. Needed something that wouldn't cause issues during HPDE events.

Install wasn't bad but realized that Sayber splitter caused the smaller crash bar to flex to where the Verus splitter didn't sit as flush. Ordered the Verus splitter support kit so that should fix the issue. Also installed the new vented end plates which won't necessarily help me on track but it looks good.

Nice to know they fit! I've been trying to find people running this in the A90. Is the shoulder bolster rubbing against the door card?

 Depending on how far back/angle you want the seat they do contact the door card but where I have it setup its barely touching it.
