Interesting, Who is they? CES Showed in a video 648.91ft lbs is the max but had to turn it down to make the engine happy.
VKM motors, the shop that posted this on instagram. I heard what CES said in that video too and I don’t really know what they’re referring to, considering there are plenty of 8 and 900whp supras running around on the stock internals.

I think they like to play it a lot more conservative than most shops considering the numbers they had in the past but I know the gen 2 B58s are being pushed hard on the stock turbo down low (~4500rpm) past 700wtq by mike botti.

Whoever is tuning the car and their capabilities with the software they use will determine whether a car is “happy” along with maintenance, conditions, and so on.

It's pretty obvious they are talking about the reliability of the manual trans itself, no?

Too many to list
I have an FX1000, but it isn't installed yet. Everyone I know who did a robust single disk, like an FX400 for example, decided to take it out and sell it. Terrible pedal feel.

FX1000 works nicely. My car will be around 700 whp in May using this clutch
Any update on the FX1000?

I'm around 550whp on stock clutch and have yet had any issues with it slipping. I bought the clutch master's single disk fx350ss along with the hydraulic release bearing waiting on my shop to have space to install it
Did they give you any idea how much torques the 350ss can hold?

Can anyone provide personal experience as to when your manual trans failed or showed signs of failure on your A91? Perhaps I’ve not searched enough yet but I’m not seeing that many manuals that have gone past the pure800 level of power.
Trying to plan a build with a 6870 at the most, but intending to keep torque modest. Idea being not just blowing hot air out of a tiny turbo to reach the 700-800whp area.

the FX1000 clutch looks overkill for this but I’m more focused on whether anyone experienced trans failures and at what point.

Thanks so much for your consideration and input
I wanted to bump myself to see if anyone has something to add now that there has been more time and hopefully more 6MTs getting upgraded out there.

Finally going to pick up my car this week, and am still a bit nervous on going with a manual for my forever car - planning to upgrade turbo after at least a year, making sure no crazy warranty related issues - but to this day I’m not finding that many upgraded manual cars.

So the question is, has anyone had any 6MT transmission failures or concerns during their time so far? Not the clutch, just the trans. Any reason other than “manuals are slower” & the non clonable ECU situation to avoid going with a 6MT when plans are to big turbo eventually?

Thank you

I'm at 700whp on the FX1000 for about 3000 miles now with no issues other than a defect in my initial hydraulic release bearing.

I don't launch the car but I do push it and it takes it no problem.

Only gripe I have with the clutch is engagement in first gear which can be annoying.

Here's a list of cars i've pulled on so far:

550WHP (his claim) supercharged G37
Stage 1 F90 M5
2014 GT500 with exhaust
"Stage 2" 2020 audi V10 R8
JB4 G80 M3
JB4 X4M (2024)
Kia EV6 GT
Tesla Model 3 Performance
6.7L Stroker C5 Z06 with head and cam
2023 Porsche Cayman GT4RS
new Mercedes E63S (Unknown mods)
G87 M2
F80 M3
Mercedes CLS63 amg
C8 Corvette
A bunch of FBO mustang GT across a few generations

Probably forgetting a few.

Cars i've lost to:

Tesla model s Plaid (pulled a few business days on me)

Really impressive list! What turbo do you have?

Do you have the CM hydraulic release bearing or did you get another stock one?

Also, what probs do you have in 1st?

Thanks!
