All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

Not much new in the 'Z' - mostly 370 overall. Glad its built given the absurdity with trucks n boxes but its a refresh reflective of the small amount of sales for a volume company. So limit development cost.

Chassis and suspension are carried over from Z34.
Center stack is just carried over setup from other Nissan’s and Infiniti’s.
Same Akebono calipers.
Now external CSC!!!!!
Can’t comment on the 9 speed auto though. Nothing ground breaking, nothing new here. If anything, you can consider it a mechanically improved version of Z34. ---

Same can be said about the Supra.

-B58 motor has existed for ages now.
Chassis and suspension are carried over from older BMWs
Center stack is just carried over setup from other BMWs
Same calipers.
Same zf transmission as many other car manufacturers.

This is also a parts bin car. Nothing ground breaking.
If both of these cars had to be all new, they wouldn't make it.

-Supra owners have existed since 1978.
Supra reviews pretty much has been the same since it’s suspension and chassis has been carried over.

Nonowners has been claiming it has 1000hp from the factory. Nothing ground breaking.

More like Nissan asking the game developers to make the stats of their pre-release car to be better than its real life counterpart, just to hype things up(omg this thing is going to kill the Supra!!!!!!), I say that because the same thing didn't happened to the GR Supra, GR Yaris and GR86 when they got added into GT Sport while their the real life counterparts are still the pre-release stage. Just one of the many differences between Toyota and Nissan, I guess.

335 hp version gets bump up to around 370 hp, while the 382 hp version gets bump up to around 400 hp, and I'm sure most of us know how much BMW underrates the power output of their higher performance engines.

When the Z truly goes on sale, it will have to face an even faster and more powerful GR Supra. Supra killer my a$$.

Ok so want to compare it to the 3.0, not gonna beat it but it’s still $10k less.

With the performance pack and 9 speed automatic transmission, that price gap would be more like $4-5k less than the 3.0 GR Supra.

Estimated pricing is $45k with the performance pack. The 2022 3.0 starts at $51,640. IF true, $6,600 price differences. I also wouldn't be suprised if the 2023 J29 saw a price increase to $52k+. Regardless, we're all just splitting hair at this point; still a better buy than the 4 banger.

Yup, $6600 difference between a cheap plastic Nissan interior, and a nice quality BMW interior. It may cost more, but the Supra is the better bargain.

It feels like we keep going down the same rabbit hole lol. The people that have sat in the preproduction cars haven't complained about the interior. Granted, those are the more costly performance trim, but I'll form my own opinion when these things ever hit the showroom floor.

I know everyone is going to compare the two but the Z is not necessarily a direct competitor but rather slots in-between the 86 and Supra imo.

True, I saw the Z at the Cleveland Auto Show yesterday, but it was locked obviously. But it's not a far stretch to say that if you want a BMW level of quality interior, you'd have to step up to Infiniti.

Side note, I did sit in the new GR86 and that was surprisingly nice. Roomier than the old one, and a very nice steering wheel. Harder to get into than the Supra though. Think my head was between my knees trying to squeeze in ?
