Imagine being able to buy a car w/out infotainment, lane assist, cameras, all kinds of garbage telling the car what to do instead of the driver.
I'm sure there is a market for that.... It's not me, but I'd guess they would sell a few hundred of them. I couldn't imagine buying a 40-50k car and it does not have all the luxuries it should have., I get for a track car the reasons why. but for a streetcar, I'll pass. I traded my 2013 FRS for a 2015 Focus ST3 because the ST was soooo much nicer and cheaper also. I love my luxuries too much to give those up.

I think Nissan wants to make sure the Nismo at least beats the auto Supra performance metrics. They must be tired of seeing the many reviews that favor A90.

It won’t though. The added power is entirely canceled out by the added weight. It’ll be the same speed as the normal Z in a straight line, which is quite a bit slower than the Supra. It should be faster than the normal Z around a track, but I highly doubt it’ll be good enough to catch up to the Supra there either.

Don’t have to, the Elantra’s a better car.
As much as I think the Z is a letdown, when I drove the Elantra N, it was extremely poor in driving dynamics compared to a GRC, ND2 Miata, and V60 Polestar.

The throttle was way too sensitive for my taste, unsettling the car between understeer and lift off oversteer when pushing it through corners. Like just gently tap the throttle and the entire car squats violently. To be fair, it was a Turo one of my buddies rented during a weekend trip and there were other issues on the car, so it may be a one-off.

Even on a small track like Throttle House's track, I bet the Z Nismo will still be at least 1 second slower than the Supra.

Until 2 years later when they release the NIsmo Z with a 6MT...calling it a Nismo Z-RS lol...saying they want to look after the 'purist' lol
At least somebody still cares about the purists

I like how They keep pushing electrical fire with OEM circuit. Code for fuel pump wire harness melted lol.

Eh idk really but at least they are not blaming someone for firebombing their car that that clapped out RX8 guy did.
