Where is that? Sounds beautiful, never too hot never too cold.
Yes, Southern Cali weather is tough to beat. Many years ago when I lived on the East coast, my sportscar-driving days were very limited compared to here.

So my 26 Supra has about 1400 miles on it and is basically parked for the winter. I like to change the oil after break-in periods, but didn't get around to it yet. The colder weather has made it easier to put off. Anyway, I was having flashbacks after reading the various oil threads here and there to when choosing an oil for my GR86 in 24. That car was specifically bought to Autox so I knew what I wanted to run. For the Supra I eventually bought the Liqui-Moly 0-20W kit from FCP Euro as I felt I may not Autox it this coming year and doing that isn't too hard on the car anyway. But NOW, after reading this thread out of boredom, I've had an epiphany! I will buy a 5-30W kit and mix it to make my perfect "MAY, MAY NOT be a little hard on the car" 2.5-25W blend! ;)

So many post to basically summarise, including bob oil forum

If you have cold weather/winter. 0W-30, it heats up faster, if you're willing to wait, go for 5w-30
If you have medium/hot weather. 5W-30
If you have hot weather and like pounding the car: 5W-40 (i use this, i live in a tropical country, every BMW independent shop basically use 5W40)

Thicker oil, reduces fuel efficiency but increase protection. To a point, which is likely around 5W-50, which there probably isnt much point to it unless its some 1000hp supra.

Motul, liqui moly, Aimsoil, penzoil, mobil 1, shell, castrol, petronas etc. Just pick any of them as long as its fully synthetic or 100% synthetic.

Change your oil every 4000 miles or so, especially if you pound on it like it i do.

I change every 3000-3500 miles or so.

Holy fucking shit, this thread...I had to stop reading at page 9, I think. It'd be cool to have that time added back to my life.

So, the gist I got is that no one over age 45 is welcome? This is what I get for not remaining a lurker.

I’m over 45 and feel welcome. And I don’t even own a Supra.

You know what they say about assumptions, right?
Metric @$$ ton of fun for you and me!

I'm rusty, so my being-facetious/sarcasm game is way off. I really should have taken the time to use appropriate emojis...my bad.
