If you reused your rotors with a different pad material previously you'll keep getting shudder. I ended up needing a new set of rotors to bed in the club racers before I got them to work properly.
I cooked my rotors with RPXs so I went with brand new rotors too and 4x20min sessions later the shuddering didn't stop when it finally got heat in them. We shall see if it calms down a bit this weekend. 🤞

It took me about 3 track days for the shutter to calm down. These 999s though, perfect out of the box, even on old rotors.

Apologies to slide this in with pad discussion…

Are you tracking guys using the master cylinder brace? Never heard of this issue with bmws before.. but if it helps firm the high speed initial brake softness and bite, I’d be interested, or is this a pad and rotor issue? Thanks!

I do, it helped a little bit with pedal feel.

think I'll head into 999 instead of Club Racers based on your comment! I had a subpar experience with the CR

Aren't them in stock at Blackhawk?
Even evasive shows them in stock.
What would be your recommendation if not the 999?
they are not in stock apparently. Shoot them over a message. Last I heard it’s going to be an infinite amount of months before they are back in stock. Something due to getting the raw material to make them.

im going back to hawk dtc-60 once my 999s are done. I just didn’t like how long they lasted and how crazy the dust was. At least they are cheap and easy to get.

Yeah, a friend of mine track the dtc60 on a Camaro 1le and they wear like crazy. Like almost 1/2 gone after 1 track day.

Don't be dummy like me and order the DB22/DB82 for the 4 cylinder... They charged me a restocking fee even though nothing was ever manufactured or shipped.

yep mine lasted a whopping 3 track days. My club racers still had life left after 8 days. I have only done 2 track days on the 999s but they are wearing great.
