Assuming your new battery is good and connections on battery are good I would start checking for loose power wires and grounds.

Check the connections behind/inside the right wheel well trunk area for the distribution box fuse connections. Make sure all of these are securly fastened. Seems like there is a main line not giving voltage.

Main lines are secure in the trunk. Gonna check all the connections and fuses next.

no airbags were deployed. waiting for ctek 4.3 test and charge. will retry jumping again with the new battery.

This may be a dumb question but did you clear the codes after you adapted the new battery?

Hi does unplugging the DME for a while “reset” it ?
finally got the car to start.

I removed the JB4 and WMI.
disconnected the DME too.
the CTEK 4.3 did a reconditioning of the "new" battery.
voltage output was 12.85.
started the engine and it sputtered for a bit but it did not stall. :)
CTEK tested starter and alternator as OK.
initially black smoke from exhaust when revving up to 2K rpm.
after several minutes of idling, white smoke from exhaust when revving up to 2K rpm.

Not the battery.

So if this helps... my wife's 2021 X3...
2 weeks into ownership, the gauges all go wild, digital dash is dead. Car seems to run ok... then the next day, totally dead.

I run a CTEK and charge it overnight, car starts next AM, take it to BMW.

They replaced the battery, ran tests, it's all OK.

3 days later, gauges go bad again.
And you guessed it, dead battery.

I CTEK charge it overnight and drive the car back to BMW.

BUT this time, I tell them... check the KOMBI.
It's essentially the power-brain of the car that turns off power or turns on power to parts of the car.

Turns out, our Kombi was bad. It's power circuits stayed on even after the car was off.
They replaced. Car's been OK 3+ years.

Not saying this is you, but you've done the easy stuff.
