There’s a bold statement up there. Dates still apply.I thought Bosch had started to lock all ECUs for BMW?
I'll blame T.S. Elliot for that.I’m a selective listener and reader post work ?
No, the 0261s100as number would be the one to match. Using any of the other numbers could result in getting an incompatible ECU.So for 'compatible' ECUs for cloning, is there anything on the ECU label (other than the date code) that would indicate the correct model of ECU from an unknown BMW? (I know this is a Supra ECU pic from an earlier forum post). Is the 1039T28833 what we are looking for or something else?
this is inaccurateNo, the 0261s100as number would be the one to match. Using any of the other numbers could result in getting an incompatible ECU.
How so? Search for the 0261xx numbers and you'll see they match other compatible ECUs. The 1039t28833 will not get you the same results.this is inaccurate
Can't tell by the label unfortunately, but that date is too late anyway.@zrk need you expert help with compatibility.
A buddy of mine had this extra ECU (unsure what vehicle it came off of) and donated it to me. Are you able to determine compatibility by the ECU label?
1st picture is the donation ECU.
