Any chance you can post a sound clip? Not enough videos of this setup out there. Are you on a stock DP?
Would you mind getting a video if you are in fact on stock DP? In California and I'm heavily considering this exhaust. (If you have a db reader maybe even that could be nice, don't go out and buy one though) Cheers!
Stock DP, I'll see if I can get a video, I don't have any fancy audio equipment so it'd probably be someone holding my phone

Are cold starts louder than stock or about the same?
Definitely louder than stock, but once the cold start high idle stops its back to almost normal again.

Anyone know how much louder are cold starts if an AA catted dp is added?

Good amount louder.

-Josh
Does it make it a deeper tone?

Wife said it was higher pitched than my Veloster N, wondering if it’s a deeper pitch it will be a more “soothing” tone and not be as annoying in the early morning.

Really trying to find any reason to get a dp ?

Yeah I'd say catted is deeper than catless. Less raspy so less higher pitched. Doesn't make the exhaust itself deeper.

Looks like the MSRP was just recently raised to $1800 (from $1500)

Prices keep increasing, so buying sooner rather than later is always best.
Also dont dont forget we offer special pricing for forum members, which will get you a much better deal than MSRP

I agree with most of what you said. In sport mode there is essentially no muffler, but at higher rpm the actual sound level is close to stock. And I guess that since the Dinan muffler is freer-flowing, the sound level is higher in Normal mode. Startup is louder than stock. Attached is a sound level comparison.
My car has the stock downpipe and cat. The CA max at 4350 RPM is 95 dB.

Am catless, when its open full throttle its considerably louder than stock.
I believe it. The cat is fairly restrictive, although some owners can't put their windows down when stopped, due to the fumes. I rented a catless 2015 C7 Corvette once. My eyes were watering at stoplights. Hopefully your car isn't as bad.

Some pipe measurements, stock (pinched area, then round) then Dinan

Out of curiosity, what would you change about the aesthetics?
I like a symmetrical exhaust. Not a fan of one side is straight piped and the muffler is routed to only the other side. I did like the sound of this exhuast tho

The stock exhaust fits that description, but dang it has the largest muffler I've ever seen on a sportscar. 😏
