I have a manual but it doesn’t change the sound. This is when I had a stock downpipe. First 2 revs in normal, last revs in sport.

I have it on a manual and its great. No DP or tune, but have and MST Intake. Perfect for daily driving and really opens up on sport mode.

It does drone with the MT at like 3000-3500 RPM, but music hides it pretty well.

Great value and would recommend.

But no drone or rattle, I think fitment is good. I used this paint for the tips and it’s held up well.

I later got a catted downpipe and it sounds mean.

I wanted an exhaust that can get quiet bc in SoCal the cops ticket for loud exhausts.

Dinan also uses 3.25” piping which matches the diameter of the stock downpipe. In sport mode it is straight piped with no resonator.


I believe Borla and Ark use 3”, haven’t heard them in real life, but their design doesn’t have much muffling.

My friend has the HKS, but it’s louder than Dinan in normal so I didn’t go with HKS.

There is drone in Sport mode, since it completely bypasses the muffler. But my sound tests reveal that the bigger increase in sound volume occurs in Normal mode, when compared with the stock exhaust's Normal mode sound volume. Pops are louder in Sport mode with the Dinan. These characteristics were exactly what I was looking for.

I finally put together my footage comparing the normal and sport modes. Unfortunately I don’t have any comparison to stock so this is really only gonna give you an idea of how different it sounds in the normal and sport modes.

Dinan intake and inlet pipe

No other power mods or tune

Stationary revs, exterior, interior, windows closed and windows open.

Great video. I rarely get to hear my own Dinan exhaust, this way. The only thing I would change or add to is the height of the recording device. Since most bystanders are standing, I'd set the recording height to 5.5 feet or so.
