.....right?
 ha , are you sure? Laughing at myself here. I thought I read there was a FMIC ....ok, the radiator and tranny cooler then.

Ha it definitely costs some airflow, but not a ton of options without some sort of obstruction. Probably helps that the plate stands off the mesh a bit. I'd figure if you're doing anything properly strenuous you can pull it off anyway.

^^^ You realize your blocking the FMIC with that placement....
.....right?
I do indeed and the impact isn’t worth worrying about in the slightest, more than enough room for air to circulate. It’s like comparing two different front bumpers that have different designs and cutouts

Hi to all,

I am new to this forum and have see that many discuss the position of the front number plate.
I could not work out why Toyota decided to drill four holes in the beautiful front bumper. So I asked for the plate to be left off when purchasing this Awesome car.

I ordered my legal plate from four dot who offered a great service.

This allowed me to look at various places to fix the front plate and ended up asking a good friend who made me the fixing that can be either drilled on or stuck with strong double sided tape which I have used. Where it is positioned it does not affect the air flow.

I hope this helps you if you are thinking to change the position of your plate.

Enjoy driving your cars!!!!!!

You are all so lucky. Where I’m from a front plate is required by law, and stickers are not legal. Even offsetting the plate to a tow hook location is cause for contention with local law enforcement because the rules state it has to be centred and I think also at a certain minimal height from the ground... Sigh.

License Plate Bracket - Question on two Specific Examples

New owner in a front-plate-state:

I’ve narrowed my consideration to two makes of tow hook mounted brackets. Here are those two choices:

A) This bracket protrudes less and sits nearly flush in the driver side gap:

B) This option seems widely adopted, but protrudes a bit:

im worried that B might get snagged by someone walking between parked cars etc. I am therefore leaning towards A. Does that make sense? Am I missing important considerations? Any thoughts?

your thoughts appreciated.

I have option B and have had zero issue with it. I bent the bracket a little bit so it is more flush with the car. No issues with any sensors being blocked either.

The one from EOSPlates is very good too.

It allows for plenty of side to side incremental changes as well as angles. It fits perfectly just below the bumper line under the headlight and is slightly recessed so as not to snag on anything.
