I tried to make this work, and yes I did read the owners manual! Went through all the steps, and I didn’t get a solid green, instructions mentioned “rolling lock code”?
Has anyone made this work???

I have three garage doors, two are LiftMaster 3265 and the other is LiftMaster 8500. On both my Supra and wife’s Crosstrek the 8500 works as advertised, the two 3265’s have never fully synced as they should but both work perfectly with the green light rapidly flashing.

What brand openers do you have. In some, you've to put in train mode or whatever..

I've done this the day of, back in 2019. Pressed and held the far left mirror button, pressed the remote open, I believe it was locked in in a minute.. can't recall the exact steps.
Don't remember the previous opener, but also worked with LiftMaster 8500W here as well.

Doc - check to see if your garage door switch has a learn button like mine does in the pic.

Need to use that button to program, not the garage door remote.

I could only get mine to program with the car running and in the garage.

I’m using a Genie model 3055, and I’m using remote in car to sync it, as per instructions in manual

yes, and they don’t mention in detail car remotes, car manual does state something about “rolling code” and issues with that type of security

I have genie. What I had to do was sync the remote to the car. Then I had to sync the car to the actual opener mechanism using the learn button on it.
Jeeze, I tried to sync remote to car, as per instructions in manual, didn’t sync?

It all depends on the opener and what it requires. Sounds like yours will need to be synced with the remote and then to the opener itself.
