Guys simple question: 2port di, pure800-like custom turbo, S58 injectors - to achieve 550whp on ~e30 reliably for track do I need to upgrade HPFP to Ds25 or no need at this power level? I need the power to be safe and last in 100F waether.

I get mixed opinions on this, some say i should do hpfp, some tell me injectors are enough and there is no reason for HPFP upgrade for this power level and the stock pump is enough.
🤷‍♂️
Pure800+e30 is fine with stock fueling. ~600whp

If you want to maximize the 800, get hpfp and lpfp to run e40-e50

Nah, I have to carry ethanol myself since we dont have it here, i wana stay around e30-e40 on flex. aiming for 530-540whp for now, maybe 1day 560-570.
Just wondering if HPFP is needed at this power level or only upgrading to S58 injectors is enough.

HPFP will help with added power under the curve in low to mid range. Injectors will help with more power under the curve 6000rpm+.

I run both DS25 + S58 injectors on Pure800, with E40 and 600whp+. Enough to make trans slippy slip.

Next would be LPFP.

600 would be a stretch on a track-centric tune with pure800/E30/stock fueling.

550 all day though.
Just the first basemap on e33 (so a little more than intended). MSV ~105 (ideally I want this at 100). 26.5psi boost, 12.5 afr

It does have S58 injectors but honestly makes no difference with stock hpfp. Will be able to resolve the couple corrections easily. You are probably right this would heatsoak at the track but for 1/4mi works great.

Hard to say if it is 600whp but I'd bet its damn close

Def not 600whp with that boost and timing level on 800. Clean log though!

I would also say the S58 injectors are helping there with those low rail pressure targets.

You dont need any fueling upgrades for 540whp, injectors arent the bottleneck anyway, hpfp is

Thank you! Omega 65 on E30 stock fueling as well:

can't find most recent log but corrections were cleaned up fully. Still got it 26psi+, bit spicier timing than the pure800 log shared. 100 MSV. Stock injectors close to tapped out.

yes they are now that I'm looking at it side by side with a similar setup stock injectors, it is a nice little extra safety headroom for fairly low cost. I ramp rail pressure pretty aggressively to keep MSV nice flat and pegged at 100, and get IDC% down up top.

Feel most comfortable with IDC <80% for transient headroom

So basically with S58 inj up to 550whp should be no problem on e30 with oem hpfp, correct? If i land with tune between 530-550whp its all good, not planning more for now.

Question for power goals (on my own car)

I recently picked up a DS25 and S58 injectors, and my power goal is 600whp.

I was thinking probably Pure650 on as high of ethanol as the fueling will take. Has anyone else done this combo? If so, were you able to run full E?

I also would like to know where the oem LPFP taps out on full E. I considered Pure800 but probably overkill for 600whp on E.

Thanks!

Having run a Pure700 (very close to the new 650) and now a Pure800... Skip the 650 and get the 800. More efficient, less bp, etc.

Just not the cast 800 unless you bore out the WG outlet before installing.
