Unless I missed it, having trawled through all the imagery in the dump, I couldn't find the orange Toyota Supra logo that appears on start-up. I wonder if this too can be hacked. ?
There are a few jpgs in there. Maybe try replacing this file and seeing if the head unit animates the smoke layer on top of it. Oddly enough, I don't see the M or Christmas-M logos that get triggered when you mess with the startup animation settings in bimmercode.

So I just hit a hiccup. I went to start the process of getting into my headunit, and when I went to retrieve my headunit version information, I realized that I did not have access to the navigation system (see photos). I always use Carplay, so this has never been an issue. Does anyone know if theres an alternate way of finding the head unit version?

Oh yikes - your dealer should have done that.
I think you'll wanna read up on this thread - https://www.supramkv.com/threads/acquiring-navigation-code-for-a-2021.21295/

Thanks for linking the thread. I originally wanted to do my 1200 mile oil change myself, but I guess I could use this opportunity to take the car to the dealership and get the navigation issue fixed. Kind of frustrating that the head unit version is hidden behind that. I'm going to continue searching the web to see if I can find an alternative way to grab it, such as with a enet cable

By the way, small update in the self-coding scene, me and a guy in our local supra club are experimenting with CarPlay activation through Feature Installer. We’ve got it working but just need to figure out the WiFi antenna situation. This is great because we find CarPlay providers to be overpriced atleast locally. We’ll do a write up once it’s stable

Good news, I chatted on Whatsapp with the gentleman from Feature Installer. He said that the code works for any version of the headunit. I paid for the code and was able to successfully SSH into the head unit and extract the 'home.png' file. On to the next step!

Update -- Created & uploaded an absolute zero model, looks good! I think I'm going to target the trunk/door open models next, and then leave it at that.
Forgive the dust particles, I know I need to clean my car ?
imgur link if anyone wants to put this in their car:

Love to see it!

Here's one you guys might be interested in (two parter).
1. Some of the folks here in the forum are interested in getting the tach displayed on the HUD that traditionally comes with M-cars.
I've done a bit of digging and it appears that some remnants of the M-mode functionality can be found in the BDC, HU and KOMBI modules. I was even able to get M1/2 (and just straight M-drive) displayed on my head unit.

But no way to activate the M-drive modes or set the settings. Presumably, this is because we're (probably) missing modules and ways to trigger it (m-buttons)
Is a retrofit something you all have ever looked into before and or is it something you all would be interested in researching on our platform (since it's a hair bit different than most).

2: Some of the folks here on the forum (myself included) have done a G8x LCI wheel swap and now have a different button set than OEM
1000001970.webp

Some buttons (Resume/Cancel/LIM) don't work for (some) of us (some folks claim they do, mine personally dont), and was wondering if an experienced coder (such as yourselves) happen to know a fix for this (or would be willing to look into a fix for this). I've read that it may possibly be a button model issue. For context, the following code is thrown post-swap: 030411 Multifunction steering wheel: Wrong version

Happy to pay you all for a coding and or consulting session if this is something you all are interested in digging into!

I did a fair bit or research on this a while ago and the short version is, it's not going to happen. From what I understand, we have hardware missing and its very unlikely we will be able to marry the missing //M module with the rest of our non //M hardware.

After having driven a car with a tachometer in the HUD I kind of got over it and solved my particular need by purchasing a LED enabled wheel.

Can anyone direct me to an online file for the oem infotainment splash screen? Or, if someone has the capability of supplying that here, it would be AMAZING. I'm building a custom mk5 supra dashboard in SimHub and want to include that splash screen to run while the ddu is idle, then when on track the ddu shows the instrument cluster. I'm not confident pulling the file from my car. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help point me in the right direction.

When you say infotainment splash screen, do you mean just the Supra logo?
