Has anyone out there found one of these devices on your new Supra?

The dealership mentioned they were willing to add this as a “free feature,” but it hasn’t been installed yet. After looking into it further, it feels a bit too “big brother” for me. Since I’m financing through my credit union, there’s no requirement for this, and I’m not sure I want it installed. I’m also really concerned it could draw power from the battery if the car sits in the garage for extended periods.

Not a Corvette.

Yeah my 2nd supra had one. Your finance company required them to install it. I took it out as soon as i got home with no issues.

The dealership is full of shit and should keep their spyware to themselves.

Sounds like the same OBD2 tracker found in some GR Corollas.

Yes, I used to install these every PDI at my dealership. We stopped because they would drain the battery. It’s a tracker for the dealership. We would need to register them on the website ikon website before installing them and on the site it would show a map of all the registered devices.

The fact they “added it to the bill but said it was free” is classic dealership nonsense. If I find it I’m pulling it out. Thanks for the help gents!

Just took delivery of my new Supra today and was told it was installed by the dealership. They tried to sell me on the service plan for tracking my car (in case it got stolen) as a $600 line item. After I declined they said they would just remotely disable the tracker, but they didn't remove it. Found it hardwired to the battery when I got home:

Of course, I immediately removed it.
