Yeah, seeing all that work I'd just remove the bumper too. Also I would definitely NOT stick my head in the bumper/fender well with just a scissors jack.

Funny at the end of that video the guy mentions 'huh, still sucks?' after test.

my wife has been on me for all the mods recently, but after she heard the horn, she agreed that it needed to be changed.

Just added Fiamm freeway blaster low tone horn (72112) and now it sounds like a real car. I kept the stock high tone and just tapped into the red/gray wire for the positive so I have both low/high tone.

$15 FIAMM 72112 Freeway Blaster LOW Note Horn https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000DINKPQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_DKD47789DBQR0H6XKARR

bumper removal absolutely necessary but not too difficult for one person

Just did the same thing. Was a one hour job max and that was mainly because I had to right up a bracket location for the 2nd horn. The result is night and day.

I'm assuming you can't do something like removing the connector from the old horn and attaching to the new horn? That would be much closer to a plug-and-play solution, and probably be more reliable in the long term. Those tap connectors are known to fail over time in environments with a lot of vibration (like a car), and could also lead to corrosion of any exposed wiring.
