How much hp should I expect from running e85?

I am going to upgrade the intake manifold, lpfp, add PI, so I can run e85 with optimal boost (I know it’s not worth it for the money, so please don’t tell me to go another route).

I am currently making 480 whp on e50. By going e85, will I be technically making more power, less power, or the same?

I don’t want to upgrade the turbo because I don’t think I’ll ever need or want that much power because I’ll have to upgrade the trans. But I will get a bigger turbo to run e85 more efficiently, if needed.

I'm tapping out the stock turbo at 24-26psi with meth and e50. Its also tapping out the trans if that helps. You don't wanna make much more the 500whp on the stock because your wtq is prolly gonna be nearing that 600+ mark quickly. Stay away from high boost 2-3 and 5-6 shifts. Trust me.

Yeah I don’t mind being around 500, I just don’t want to be lower than what I’m at now while keeping the stock turbo.

I don't think the cost of an Intake Manifold, PI (+injectors), LPFP and a controller (motiv or some other stand alone) is going to do much for you. You are talking about spending 3k+ if you do the work yourself for maybe 50whp....Is your ecu unlocked? What are your goals for the car?

The sad reality is the stock turbo will be putting lots of strain on the trans at 500+ whp because torque will be much higher. Do you have xhp yet?

Yes, it’s unlocked. Power goals are met, I am happy with the power. I’m not concerned about gaining power, more so about losing power.

The goal is to maintain the power I have with the PI set up while staying on stock turbo, if it’s even possible. If it’s not, then I’ll upgrade the turbo.

The trans has been rated for 600hp, so I that’s not much of a concern.

What am I missing? If you’ve already met your power goals what’s the purpose of spending all the additional cash while just trying to “not lose power”?

Engine bay aesthetics, along with being able to just drive up to an e85 station and pump.

I just want to know if it’s possible to do so. Would the turbo be at the maximum strain? Or do I have wiggle room?

The hp isn't the problem. It's the torque. A bigger turbo can be tuned to help keep torque down while making a bit more power. Especially if you are already going to have PI and LPFP. :)

Torque can be turned down on the stock turbo as well.
