If you are using the Weathertech rear mat, it will block most of the ports. I don’t know much about stereo tech, but wondering about adding another set of ports up by the subwoofers. Any thoughts from those who know more about the ins and outs of enclosure porting?

I would simply cut the rubber mat around those exhaust ports...If you are using the Weathertech rear mat, it will block most of the ports. The primary purpose of those exhaust ports added to the narrow rear panel is to provide a release of exhaust pressure which exits from the 3 elongated exhaust ports located behind that panel (they are not "tuning" ports)....This alone provides a lower / less distorted bass response and eliminates those low frequency vibration and rattles...

Does anyone have any link for the speaker mesh to buy? Do you think fabric mesh would work around the port holes or would that impede the flow of air?

Did the fix a couple days ago. Looks like I put the holes maybe a half inch too high. Still sounds fine. I also cut my weathertech mat to clear the holes. I'm gonna have to clean it up a bit.

Has anyone here replaced all the front speakers and rear subs with the bavsound upgrade ? I’m debating giving it a shot as it’s $1100 for everything. I would still add the ports to the box since it wouldn’t hurt. The factory amp I feel will be the the only issue

Thanks! So in short.you liked the OEM subs better then the bavsound subs. You never tried swapping the fronts out with bavsound it seems
I wanted to do a complete over haul with high end speakers and possibly build a custom box to replace the factory one,but keep the same location. I’m entertaining cheaper options as well lol
