It’s probably the exhaust flap. It greatly reduces burble when closed. I hardly hear mine when closed.

JB4 can control it in 3 ways
1. Always closed
2. Always open
3. Open only in Sport

You can adjust the setting in two ways

First Way:
On your turn signal stock - press and hold the “BC” button until the turn signal flashes. A left turn signal = always closed. A right turn signal = always open. Both Turn signals = open only during sport mode (make sure you’re not in sport mode or it’ll get confused it seems). Repeat the process until you are on the desired setting.
My JB4 is going on this afternoon. So you're telling me I can do the fuse-pull mod, run valve open all the time, and just disable burbles even in sport mode? Would I retain the same sport-mode engine response?

This is my ideal - I want my valve always open with touchy throttle response but sometimes burbles are too much when catless...

There is no disabling burbles with the JB4. They are just a lot less noticeable with the one exhaust flap closed.

Does this BC button trick only work with the JB4 or on a stock vehicle as well. I've never heard of it before...

Correct, left blinker flashing should make it loud all the time. Have you tried making the left blinker flash, shut the car off and turn it back on? Should take a few seconds after it fires up for the valve to open. Its very noticeable on cold start.

My exhaust flap seems permanently closed.

I've tried doing the BC thing and also double tapped the CANFlap gauge. The left blinker signal blinkeded.

Turned the car on and off and the exhaust flap stays closed.

Any ideas?
