So lets start by saying i don't have time for searching each thread trying to find info about tuning manuals ecu locked ( JB4 ) or unlocked tuning , Apple carplay locked needs a weird code to open it in the system euro specs typeshit, ummm How much can a manual handle power before shits start going down umm Who deleted the Delay Valve Pros/Cons

so i made this thread so all yall Manuals can get some answers or help me find them answers

I'll answer some of your questions:

Manuals don't need JB4, the ecu is different, just remove it (be sure to unplug the battery first) and bring it to a BMW dealership and tell the service guy that you would like to swap it for a 2020 ecu + a little cash if he needs.

The clutch can handle up to MHD stage 3 or BM3 stage 2.5. For JB4 I believe it's map 7 iirc. You'll have to contact burger to ask them.

That BMW service guy is gonna need two weeks to get that 2020 ECU for you.

Who knows, sometimes they have it in stock at another dealer and they can just transfer it. Which reminds me, @The1nOnly , since the latest M340s have the Gen 3 B58, it would be a good idea to ask if they have that ecu in stock because it has integrated PI control.

long/short.... it's no different than tuning an auto in any way other than you don't need a trans build, you just need a clutch. about as much hand holding as I'm willing to give with that intro. everything else you've asked has been beaten to death on here, fb, discord, everywhere you can ask so..

@sam1el you know this better than anyone, he’s going to have to swap out that ecu for a 2020 at the dealer. The Autos can just unlock and tune.
