What's that?
Mission Tuning got back to me, additional licenses are $250 for Super and $200 for base. Meaning once you get the device, to unlock other cars than the single license it came with.Oh, the unlock license is part of the hardware cost like when I bought my pre-June 2020 unlocker from them? That is a great price for home unlocking. I am interested in what additional licenses are for unlocking more cars. They don't publish it on their site. I will email them.
The OP probably already answered your question(s), but my M-Link came in yesterday and I did the unlock this afternoon. Before I unlocked it, I backed up my DME via Super Unlock license.Let us know how it works. I have a 2022 also, live in Komiefornia, so therefore need a way to flash back to stock, lock the ECU, smog it, then unlock it again and flash the previous tune. I’m not keen to have to go somewhere or pay someone for the rest of the life of the car to keep locking and unlocking, so this is a huge potential solution for me, and others like me.
Ordered mine last night also, I’m going MHD for tuning software, not going to use their’s, similar price all together. The OP probably already answered your question(s), but my M-Link came in yesterday and I did the unlock this afternoon. It took less than 5 min to backup and less than 15 seconds to unlock.
Now, I wait for Mission support to help troubleshoot why I am not able to flash their tune. mFlasher app says I have a license, but when I try to flash their tune, it says no tuning configurations are currently assigned. .

While you wait for yours to arrive, you should read the M-Link User Guide and prepare yourself: https://missiontuning.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MLink/pages/688383/M-LinkOrdered mine last night also, I’m going MHD for tuning software, not going to use their’s, similar price all together.
Thank you. I bought there pack just in case, but have my own portable as well, figured $20 for just in case. While you wait for yours to arrive, you should read the M-Link User Guide and prepare yourself: https://missiontuning.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MLink/pages/688383/M-Link
A few notes from my unlock experience:
Mission had a bad batch of PD power banks to power the M-Link. I didn’t want to wait so I had them ship immediately without their power bank.
This power bank worked well for me: https://a.co/d/0gOHfaKG
I also ordered this charger as a back up, but didn’t need to use it: https://a.co/d/0egp5gZ0
My DME harness had colored tape on them, so I didn’t bother to label them with tape:
Pos 1-black
Pos 2-grey
Pos 3-blue
Pos 4-green
Pos 5-yellow
Pos 6-white

User Guide recommends unplugging negative battery terminal, but says putting the car to sleep is an alternative. I opted to unplug the negative battery terminal and waited 30 long minutes before disconnecting the DME connectors.
So I asked MHD if using their flash back to stock feature will keep the OEM CVN and calibration ID, as well as if it will relock the DME.I asked Mission if it could relock the DME back to stock and they didn’t comment.
Supposedly MHD can flash back to stock without locking the DME. When the time comes and it doesn’t work I may bite the bullet and get the Mission.
So then with this new unlock from Femto and AutoTuner, we should be able to use MHD unlocker to unlock and reinstall MHD? Sounds good to me.Hoping this hel

They say it will relock the DME.
And I think it will give the stock CVN, but not sure what “ST1,2” means? Or if it will have the same calibration ID?

The m-link will fully unlock it and keep unlocking it at home also. This is exactly why I have looked into all of this. The Femto is $200 plus shipping there & back + insurance. The MHD local unlocked is $300+. The m-link is the same price and no shipping/removing/worrying about DME getting lost or damaged. You can do this as many times as you like, hence I went with this option. So then with this new unlock from Femto and AutoTuner, we should be able to use MHD unlocker to unlock and reinstall MHD? What a beautiful dayconfirmed flashing back to stock using the image and re-locking will pass the CA Smog check with matching CVN / CID numbers.
MHD Unlocker is $299, doesn't create a back up but still an unlocking option. It's nice to have options with all of this now. Makes dealing with smog a lot more convenient. The m-link will fully unlock it and keep unlocking it at home also. This is exactly why I have looked into all of this. Armen Hovhn (spelling) confirmed flashing back to stock using the image and re-locking will pass the CA Smog check with matching CVN / CID numbers.
This is 100% why I just pulled the trigger on this. Ask @ColonelAdama , I’ve been trying to get this answer for 6+ months. I was looking at autotuner, but you have to go in/send your DME to a licensed place every single relock (for smog), Armen said he only charged 50% for re-unlock, but now I’m at their mercy and will pay forever, this way I have all the tools at my house and on my time.MHD Unlocker is $299, doesn't create a back up but still an unlocking option. Especially nice to know we're not stuck with having to mail back the DME to get unlocked again after being relocked for whatever reason.
I'm looking into m-link as well. I ultimately want to go from BM3 CustomRom (FEMTO unlock) to MHD+. Has anyone gone from BM3 to re-locking their DME with the stock CVN/CID numbers, and moving on to MHD+? I would like the flexibility to relock/unlock at home for smog purposes. This is 100% why I just pulled the trigger on this. Ask @ColonelAdama , I’ve been trying to get this answer for 6+ months. I was looking at the MHD unlocker as said above, but being able to create mirror image backups anytime and then reload them is what made this one stand out. If I want to update my DME with the latest manufacturers update, this will let me do it without a care, make a new stock image file and then unlock again, all the while keeping all the previous image files
