I'd pull the trigger on one of these if they came to America for under $75k. I get that a downpipe, tune, and KW4 suspension can get you 90% of the way there, but KW4 coilovers are like $5k + install and add in the cost of DME crack and a license/tune.

It might be worth it as a bundle package if MSRP isn’t inflated. The problem will be the crazy markup from greedy dealerships.

Also factor in the below mods (apart from the Recaros and the Brembo BBK)

1. Baffle plate to the engine oil pan
2. Stronger radiator fan plus a new sub-radiator
3. Larger differential cooling fins, retuned rear differential
4. Thicker anti-roll bars, strengthened rubber bushings
5. Pillow ball joints for the front lower control arms
6. Rigid aluminium rear subframe mounts from the Supra GT4
7. Strengthened front cowl and rear underfloor braces
8. An additional front underfloor brace
9. A stronger cross-bar in the boot
10. The electric power steering has been revised

Luckily, I live in an area with a large dealership that doesn't do markups, but they are first-come, first-serve, so I'd need to be in the dealership with a deposit the day ordering opens. (which is how I got my A91MT for MSRP).

I 100% called it. I stated once this came out, everyone thinking it would be GT3RS level at barely any extra price change would dismiss it and state “I could build the same thing for wayyyyy less”.

Hilarious.
I think this is just an artefact of a new model coming out. A bit like how much the 45th Edition has been lambasted. I'm just glad its not really getting a wide release so our cars - all editions have essentially the same general performance - stay at the top of the generally available tree.

I'm curious on whether Toyota will make these parts available?

I really kinda doubt they will in a meaningful way. The way the GT4 works is once you’re an owner of the car you receive credentialing to access a portal where you can order parts for it that you don’t have access to unless you own one. That being said, in the case of the 45th A cars you can buy the parts like the wing and strut brace from a dealership if you have a VIN but they’re unbelievably expensive for what they are, like you’d think you were ordering a wing from Spage or AJ Hartman.

That's kinda what i'm hoping for as well.

Seeing what they did with the launch of the GRMN GR Yaris. They released some of the parts for the regular GR Yaris owners who may not be lucky enough to own the actual GRMN version.

Even if we get something similar (or better) than Japan, assuming it's limited quantity units like the Final Edition then the dealer markup is going to be astronomical combined with insane demand due to collectors and flippers given this edition has actual performance gains and isn't just a spoiler and a decal + it's the last chance to get one new.
