Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for a while and was originally going to wait until the spring to buy the Supra, but then I saw an Absolute Zero at a dealer last Sunday and decided waiting 4 months wasn't going to work. Did a test drive on Wednesday and picked it up Thursday. Looking forward to the discussions on here.

I’ve been a member here for a while and finally just picked up my car today. Mine is the very first red GR Supra in Thailand and one of the first five Supras officially sold by Toyota Thailand. Tada-San handled the deliveries by himself!

Hi folks,

Been lurking for months while news of the MKV Supra develops. Finally decided to join yesterday. Been on the hunt for a new sports car since selling my '17 MX-5 RF last October. Test drove a 718 Cayman base PDK (didn't like it at all), a M2 Competition DCT (loved it), and a used OG M2 DCT (surprisingly didn't like it overall). Given my love of Japanese sports cars and my new found appreciation of BMW I'm really interested to experience the new Supra. I'm sure I'll have to wait a long time before any dealer would allow a test drive.

Here's a list of some of the sports and sporty cars I've owned:

'86 RX-7, '91 MR2 Turbo, '08 Mazdaspeed3, '12 MX-5 PRHT, '17 MX-5 RF, '17 VW GTI (current)

Today I got to see a 2020 Supra for the first time and even sit in it.

Decided to swing by a local Toyota dealer that had 4 of them listed as in stock. They had a red one on the showroom floor. A parts employee happened to be working on a Sunday and noticed me looking through the windows. He opened the front door and asked if I’d like to come in and take a closer look. Of course!

I was actually a little surprised by the size of the car. I expected it to look much smaller in person. However, it is a fair amount bigger than my current ‘13 Miata. I really liked the proportions and overall look of the car. What really won me over though was the interior. I think it looks excellent and feels great. The seats were a great fit for my 5’11” 160lb build. I also was happy to find that the passenger side isn’t compromised in any way. Something my wife has always complained about with my miatas.

I’m hoping to replace both my Miata and VW GTI with a single all rounder car next summer. It’s looking more and more like the Supra could be a good fit. Looking forward to test driving one in the future.
