I just purchased a 2021 Supra 3.0 premium, I want to get a little performance work done to it. Is there anybody reputable in Jacksonville, Fl., they can recommend? I am somewhat mechanically inclined, but dont want to test my limits.

Have you checked and see if your ECU is unlocked yet? Might be good to start there before doing any performance mods.

How do I do that. The prior owner has done allot of work to it. I bought the car from a dealership, so they will not tell me who the prior owner is/was.

That's a bit of a problem. Really need to know what state its in currently before you have things done to it.

Did you have a PPI done? Did ISTA flag if it was tuned? Take a look at the downpipe and see if you can spot any non factory markings to see if it's been swapped, its easy and super common. Check the turbo and see if there are any markings on that too.

After, pull the DME/ECU - you can follow a video here and see if theres any stickers on it like ECUTek, BM3, MHD, Visconti, or anything like that. If so, thats good and can help us. Also look to see if it's a pre-june 2021 DME, or post.

If not, download the MHD app, get an MHD ODB WiFi adapter and run the Unlock Check:
https://mhdtuning.com/pages/mhd-wireless-adapter. Need to know if it's ready to tune out of the box first as that'll save a lot of time and money.

But you have a massive lift in your garage and a whole lot of tool boxes with youtube videos loaded with DIY's for the b58 and a search function on this forum.
a baby is sitting at a table with his hands outstretched and a toy car on the table .
There is a big difference between being a "Mechanic" and "Mechanically inclined"

TrustMeBro™, working on this car is easy and I did it on jackstands. (Except for that crank position sensor, fuck that sensor) You have that massive 2 car lift, which makes your life 1000x easier. With the amount of information available on the B58, you won't run into issues you can't fix. Just follow proper torque specs, sequences, and procedures with the right tools, and it'll be easy. If you run into an issue, there's a search function. You can make a thread as long as people don't see you spam fuck the forums with stupid questions you can easily search. No shop will care about your car as much as you will, and you'll save the money for more mods.

But whatever fuck it, Since you don't know if its unlocked or tuned you could reach out to David Shoup's based in Jacksonville. He's a well known tuner, and could recommend a shop so you can get your mods and dyno tune done under one roof.

Also here's something to get you started.

100% worth it to start working on the car yourself, especially if you are mechanically inclined. B58 was the first motor I've touched and it's pretty straight forward as long as you don't try to take shortcuts. There are bigger things I'd definitely pay a shop to do - but a lot of the bolt ons (intake, downpipe, exhaust, injectors, spark plugs, maybe even turbo or intake manifold), you can definitely do yourself.
For reference, I paid a shop to have my turbo swapped, and it cost just as much as the turbo cost. Same deal for injectors. Yes, they can be big jobs and take a fair amount of time, but you can definitely do it. Have faith in yourself, the car is pretty easy to work on :D Do get it tuned by a specialist though.

Don't take it personal. Some of these guys think they're in Mean Girls. A few of them actually know these cars really well though. Look around and you'll know who to trust and who to laugh at

Not a Corvette.
who the hell watches mean girls? lol
Well, given that the remake surpassed $100 million in a month and a half on $36 million spent, a whole hell of a lot, and that was just the remake. The original is a huge cult classic.

Also... Lizzy Caplan... 😍
