Just got some really disheartening news and I don't even wanna post it. Pretty sure I'm done discussing this car.
"Mr. A70, I don't feel so good........" *Fades along with any hope of a good supra being unveiled*

Okay, well, update is that price and weight are indeed both increased. Not sure on exact numbers, but I guess my source wasn't far off. I'd say we're about 80% sure, still nothing concrete.

Power numbers are still up in the air, can't pin down exactly what motor is in the damn thing. Just a hunch says expect the 380 number, not the 335 number. I don't have any info to back that, but look at the response by the world for God's sake lol. If this motor is indeed what we heard from inside sources, it will be very tuneable and we can expect to get it cranked up by tuners sooner rather than later after launch. I'll try to play my part in that as best I can.

I still trust Tada-Sans ability to make a fantastic platform more than I distrust TMS' ability to keep the car pure as he intended, if that makes sense.

Until then, we sit tight until we hear from the mothership.

Toyota cannot, not see this by now, as fast as it's spreading. Maybe it will persuade them to offer a little more than they originally planned, if the specs are true. One thing to think about, it wasnt their market that kept asking for a new Supra, it was really the enthusiast. So to ignore what we want, the people that push the envelope, I think that puts a negative mark on what they (Toyota) think of their future customer base. I mean the Q60 has a V6 400hp in either RWD/AWD. The new Z will likely have that motor as a base. Are they going to seriously offer us less?
I forget about the Q60 Red Sport, 400hp for $52k, yes it weighs 3800lbs but that's pretty decent for a luxury car. Cheaper than the RCF at 467hp, 3900 lbs, starting at $63k. I just don't see how the supra justifies an MSRP north of $50k unless its 400hp or high 300's and keeps the weight close to 3000lbs. Maybe I'm just dreaming.

Its a good point the red sport is a nice car for the money...had a G35 6 speed which was great...In Canada it only comes in AWD so might explain the higer weight but regardless, I would definitely consider one if Toyota drops the ball...

If Toyota could the base at around the Q60 RS, with a lot less weight, and then the upper model to compete in a higher segment, it's probably sell really well. Just my thoughts

I have the Q50RS and it is indeed an awesome car, especially as my DD... Drove an RC-F before buying it and liked that too but was like yeah not for that price increase.
