Really excited to here BM3 was able to unlock the ECU’s. Hope Ecutek is not too far behind as this is the tuning route I’d like to go with.

I believe there is a misunderstanding,
there is no US unlock as of this moment, just rumors that there may be
as of BM3, it says to use BM3 with (potential) US unlock (BM3 is not in US, but Canada)

I was just stating why the person was confused. That was the statement made by OP. It does make one think that BM3 can unlock it w/o shipping to Russia. I understood that is not the case because I follow all the threads concerning unlocking ECU but I can see why dude was confused.

These posts are starting to aggravate me.

First and foremost, right now there is no US or Canadian unlock location. All ecus still have to be sent to FEMTO for the bench unlock prior to being able to be flashed with BM3, MHD, or MGflasher.

This has not changed at this time. and there is no eta on if that will even happen because FEMTO does not want to release their tool and coding for this. And rightfully so.

Sure that could change at some point an due available just like every other tool on the market. But right now it's FEMTO or nothing for the bench unlocks. Then cars can be OBD2 flashed with all flashing platforms except Ecutek (needs a cloned ecu) currently.

They're not going to do that for you and risk you switching ecus for warranty claims.

Nope. You have to find them. Any gen2 B58 ECU will work, mine's from an X5 for example. But be careful if you go about this on your own.

Wonder if the whole Russia,Ukrainian stuff is gonna affect the shipping of ECUs, last thing I would want is for my ECU to get stuck in Russia because they wanted to go to war lol.
