Overboost partial throttle

Hello,
I am in the midst of getting a custom tune, and wanted to get an opinion of other members If they had the same issue.

While getting the custom tune dialed in, it seems that while I apply partial throttle, the car goes past boost target causing the throttle angle to change, causing a " dip " in the rpm climb. On WOT the issue has been fixed and runs great. It's only on partial throttle acceleration that the issue presents itself sometimes.
So coming out of a corner and apply partial throttle the issue will present it self mostly in gear 4 and 5, it's not a smooth acceleration,

Has anyone come across this?

Hi, yes I have and we are still working on it. It's been a cat and mouse for a month, just wanted to get a second opinion from the forums if it was the parameters of the tune or something else. Just disheartening since it's been a good while.

Sounds like you need to work with a different tuner, if it's been a month and they still can't figure it out.

Well he is very well recognized when working with the b58 platform.. I didn't question him much, don't want to say the name due to the agreement. This lengthy process has definitely shaken up some of the confidence though.

Well, who is it? None of the tuners I know would have this issue.

What agreement? Sounds like he talked you into keeping silent about his "abilities", probably because even he knows he's not the expert he's "known" to be.

It's your car, and if it blows up, the repair is going to be on you, not him. Are you prepared to pay for a new engine or trans if they screw it up? Because that's what's on the line for you.

It's pretty important that you get this fixed ASAP. If your tuner won't work with you in a timely manner, regardless of WHO it is, it's time to get another tuner.

It doesn't matter if they're the best in the business - if they don't have time to fix such a major flaw in your tune, you need to move on.

Yes. And if they're on this forum, make sure to tag them and give 'em an opportunity to respond. Like I always do with @Twisted Tuning about their still unreleased motor mounts.

In due time everything shall be known. If you go to any bimmer form, he's well recognized.. I don't think just that well in supra forums. I'm genuinely surprised that this is happening considering all the positive reviews he's had.

It's been a very respectful process but also a very deflating one, since flash after flash the issue just can't seem to go away. In WOT around 4k and gear 4 ( before it was gear 3 ) it keeps overboosting causing a momentary throttle closure to control boost which can be felt easily while driving. And there are no mechanical concerns since the ots was perfectly fine before I went custom.
