Passing SMOG with BM3 and MHD?

I don't think someone's mentioned this yet. But I was doing some research on MG Flasher, seems like it can flash back to stock without re-locking the DME, requiring a bench unlock. Not sure if this works for >06/20 DMEs, but it seems like something worth looking into.

Found an old thread that @Jesse DaBears was offering MG flasher, perhaps he can comment as well?

From MG Flasher website:

CVN number (Checksum Verification Number) along with flashing counter stays untouched. This means our software will be virtually invisible to dealer level diagnostic tools.

Any one successfully use MG flasher to pass state ref? I'm guessing people use bm3 and MHD the most because they're just better options for those who don't have to worry about getting pulled over and being state compliant.

This seems like one of those questions that won't get answered publicly for liability related reasons.

I wouldn't mind a DM if that means whoever is knowledgeable can speak freely.

Bumping this thread, dealing with the same issues in MA now. Did anyone ever get any insight, how to get a current ECU cloned to another current ECU and use one with the OEM IDs for inspection.
