Clear bra the front of the car. Wheels after the initial pilot sports wear out. Plan to wrap the entire car a satin color.

Transmission failures and engine failure.

If this comes up as an issue I’ll wait for the 2021. Either way I’m getting a Supra in the garage as a daily. But I want some reliability.

Will wait for them to sort out the first year kinks, scope the depreciation rate, and hold out for a manual if the rumours are true. So 2022?

Leaning towards nitro yellow, but would consider blue or black depending on how they look in person.

Summer daily, light track

Ideally wheels, (wide) body kit, vented hood, fender cutouts, mold the door extensions into the door and delete the fake vent, and all the boring stuff like tint and paint protection.

Unsure. Maybe a reference to an old anime with a supra in it.

Cost. Canadian pricing still not announced.

Will have to cost compare used vs new, and anything else that may be out in 2022 (rumours of a new RX-7)

I'll probably wait for the 2021 MY. Still enjoying my Golf R and I want to see if there are any show-stopper issues that can come with a 1st year car. However, if early reviews end up being glowing and community reactions are positive that might change things.

2. What color combination will you get?

Debating between Silver, Yellow, and Red. If either the Yellow or Red were metallic/pearl I'd go with them, but as far as I'm aware they are basic paints. I don't know what it is but recently manufacturers have been opting for pure red for cars and it annoys me when everything else is metallic/pearlescent.

3. What will you use your car for primarily? (Daily driving? Weekend? Track?)

Daily Driver for sure. Have my Elise for the weekender (when I'm not working on it/repairing it/watching it live up to "lots of trouble, usually serious").

4. How much do you expect to drive your car per year?

Probably 12K-15K miles.

5. What performance modifications will you do and when will you do them?

Not sure if I'll do much to it. I like having warranty power for a DD . The Supra weighs nearly the same as my Golf R but it has waaaay more torque so that's already a good boost to the butt dyno.

6. What cosmetic modifications will you do and when will you do them?

Probably upgrade any incandescent bulbs to LED if there are any. Window Tint for sure. Maybe a different steering wheel down the line and some shift paddle extensions/replacements.

Yes, but that must stay secret so no one can take it!

If there ends up being a ton of reliability issues.

I'll probably just wait until they're sorted. It's unlikely that anything major will happen, especially if Toyota's work on the car is as thorough as Guff's video showed, but things can happen.

I opted for the Gray, or "Phantom Gray", I believe it is called. Always loved gray cars in any form (metallic, gloss, matte).

3. What will you use your car for primarily? (Daily driving? Weekend? Track?) Weekend only, I have two other cars I have that I daily and are perfect for all year conditions.

4. How much do you expect to drive your car per year? Probably 2K-4K miles per year. I like to take my sports cars on multi city rally's and some nice long weekend cruises.

Waiting to hear what TRD will be releasing this weekend for the Supra that will supposedly be available on the 2020 Supra before delivery. If the aesthetic modifications are appealing to me (wing, lip kit, etc...) I will order those to start. My plans are to work with a great local tuner and really push the potential of the performance of this new platform. So intake, exhaust, tune, and push it from there all the way to upgraded turbos when available, etc...

Ceramic clear coat the day of arrival. Most likely aero/lip kit in the first month or two when receiving the car, as well as wheel/tire upgrades.

8. What, if anything, might persuade you not to buy this car? The only thing I can see is if for some strange reason the dealers mark up the pricing incredibly. Then I will just walk away and look elsewhere, or just wait for the following model year when pricing drops.

I currently have a reservation on the car and am waiting to test drive it, however I imagine I will be unlikely to follow through on the purchase

Would have been a daily/weekend driver for occasional track use

I was expecting around 3-4 days a week

Wasn’t planning on any modification within the warranty period but afterwards would have been a remap/basic mods to push it to 500bhp

After the parts leak I mostly knew that I didn’t want this car. The main tipping point for me was the interior. Very lazy attempt and even the Z4 has a better interior than this. Lack of Toyota reliability is a big factor also

I very much feel this is a deal breaker for me. Owning a Mkiv and a BMW I really can’t see the point in this car it offers nothing new on an M140....

M2 Competition manual... And it's not because M2 can be had with manual for sure, but mainly because the Supra lacks rear seat.
I was planning on driving with my kids and enjoy the car with the little ones, but sadly MKV is not 2+2 any more...

It's almost a deal breaker. Really depends when the car is released and how it is received until 2021 or 2022.
