First, thank you a ton for sharing this. I was doing a family road trip the last 2 weekends, and we are already headed off camping this weekend. I'll eventually get to this install even if I have to take a half day off work to do it. I'll share how it goes.For FE and Z4 owners
I'd suggest there's some normal variation in all of our builds, but not 100% sure I believe it. I took the other owner's claim at face value but the devil is often in the details, maybe they were also this close.
On yours it seems the bottom of the brace itself is really quite close to that factory torsion bracing. Fingers crossed you, and eventually I, don't rub or have any issues there.
My original plans were to disconnect the let's say silver brace arms from that black tower, and then loosen them downstream to see if they'd hang a little and give room. I'll certainly consider your method here instead. I think once I'm finally under the car I'll see what works with the tools I have on hand. It's good to have new ideas to consider.
