What I'm curious and haven't researched it is, if you did indeed needed legitimate reason to replace your pre-June ECU, does BMW and all dealers get back to you with a superseding PN, aka locked n no solution yet ECU?

Back on topic. Another thing I've never cared to read about it because I've always had MT, what exactly is Park on AT? Obviously it's not equivalent to 1st gear. Wish I worked on transmissions at one point. Gotta read more on it.. any links?

sadness. would love this feature. to get into a car that's halfway to operating temperatures and a cool 60° inside, on a humid 94° regular Miami day..

it was very hard giving up a car that had remote start lol

People are DDing the Supra and live in cold environments. Last week it was -20F ish here for example.. it cozies up the interior, loosens snow/ice on windows, demists..... In some cases the door handle freezes up as well. I've not seen that improving much but a side effect of cold environment...
FYI, when -20 there does not need to be fresh snow on the ground. Perfectly normal to drive the Supra given you have winter tire to handle the temps..

Cool. Wasn't trying to be smart.. just didn't get it. I live in a relatively temperate climate so none of these issues really affect me. Interesting.

I was told it's a completely different service rather than something that can be added while doing the unlock. Didn't see the value in spending another $1200 on top of the unlock.

I remote start my car (not a supra) every single day in the winter. Very popular thing in the US and most Japanese and America cars have this feature for free or paid service from factory. I am also assuming people who live in very hot climates would like to turn A/C on via remote start. It sucks that Toyota does not offer it when every other model in the lineup does. Even my co-workers who own newer BMW M cars have remote start from factory now.
