How much of a PITA are these to remove? I'm planning to do my fronts tonight
Give yourself more time than you think you need. Lots of prying and cursing lol.

I've done harder jobs but this was unexpectedly sucky. I had to grind a big old cheap screwdriver down so I could wedge it in between the pistons and the pad.

I used a prybar and they popped off in like 2 seconds. Just got to man handle them!

A putty knife works wonders for the pads. Thin enough to get in there without issues.
One of those times when I should have stopped what I was doing and gone to the hardware store and gotten a better tool.

Cursing the Teutonic over-engineering keeps me warm though.

Not a Corvette.
lol. Last year when I brought this same thing up, there where MULTIPLE people telling me I was fill of crap because "why would anyone glue pads to the pistons?"

I even took video and photos of the glue, not only on my used OEM pads but brand new OEM pads with the 3M logo on the tape. People STILL didn't believe me.

That is when I found out who actually doesn't work on their cars.

I mean, I've been spinning wrenches for over 25 years now and I've never seen anything like it. Then again this is my first BMW.

Must be a new Brembo thing. The front pads on the C8 Z51 brakes were glued on as well. First time was a PITA.

Yeah I'm about to find out myself here, as I have front and rear PS Z26 pads to install. Looking to slash the amount of visible dust for street driving.
