FEMTO unlock + BM3 or MHD = More bangs than both world wars combined.

Sure, a FEMTO unlock is more expensive than the normal pre 06/2020 DME bench unlock.
But not by 6 grand. It will only cost that much if you want to run Ecutek where a cloned DME is needed. Nowadays, BM3 or MHD is sufficient for most people and does not require cloning.

Wondering why this thread is so long and was not disappointed. My ’21 made a ton of burbles/pops when stock. Now it has a borla exhaust and it’s even nuttier. Nutter butter. Nut-topia. In cold weather, after the engine is warm, the car makes a loud crack/pop when starting back up with the valves open. I have to look around to make sure there are no elderly folks nearby who might have a heart attack.

Also, it’s entirely possible the previous owner tuned out the sounds on the car you’ve already returned.

My 23 burbled plenty stock, and now catless, it is excessively loud with pops. no unlock required.

Just downshift to anything over 5k rpm and it sounds like a drive-by shooting ?

There's a reason I stick to the Motorsports portion of ANY forum I'm on. Well.. except the forbbodiesonly.com forum.... not much Motorsports going on there, but that site has it's own problems.

Supra pre-purchase checklist:

Pre 06/20 ECU == tunable IF you followed the break-in period. If not, you’ll need to send your rear diff off to Finland for a flush and fill.

If your Supra is a 2020, it will sound like a warzone and you will always get FTD in HPDE or autox. Otherwise, you should sell it as it’s hot garbage and your dealer lied to you.

Catted or catless = yes. But catted will always have oil consumption issues, unless you run Liquimoly Unicorn Tears 5-40 (on back order for ~2 weeks).

If you don’t run a big wang, you will crash.

The single biggest performance increase is not from tuning or driver mod, but actually only comes from spending >$800 USD on a “cold air” intake.

We all should have waited for the 2026 GRMN which is confirmed to have the S58.

I’m sure I’m missing something, so please correct any errors or omissions.
